A wonderful afternoon was had on this tour of Montmartre with our wonderful tour guide. She was friendly and informative. She gave us plenty of time to climb the steep streets of Montmartre and explained so much about the culture of this area of Paris especially at the start of the 20th century. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone who would like to learn more of the cultural side of Paris and see where famous painters such as Picasso lived and worked. The tour concluded at Sacre Coeur at the top of Montmartre, where we could then choose to stay as little or as long as we liked. The guide supplied us with a map to show us how to get to where we wanted to go following Sacre Coeur. This was one of the highlights of our European trip.

Montmartre was beautiful. The tour guide was interesting and showed us the best of Montmartre and told interesting stories. He was considerate in keeping up a reasonable pace that was not too fast. The tour was also good value for money.

Loved it. The guide was great and never got tired of being asked questions, was very knowledgeable, but above all he was friendly and had a great sense of humor.

The tour was very informative. We were able to explore streets that we would not typically do on our own. Our tour guide was really entertaining and helpful. We would recommend this tour to anybody interested in a smaller town with a lot character.

As we met our guide and chatted as we waited for others to arrive, I wondered how this slight, quietly spoken American girl was going to deliver - I didn't think she was going to know much about France, French history, and I was dubious whether we we all be able to hear her. How surprised I was when, all present, we set off, behind a thoroughly knowledgeable, confident and very audible guide. Our tour was first class, and we really gained an insight into the Montmartre area in particular, with a short history of France, the Napoleonic wars, Revolution, art and literature, music and religion thrown in. Our guide really knew her stuff and at every point we stopped, made sure that we had all caught our breath from the uphill walk before talking. I was glad we went early on during our holiday, it helped with background for much of the other sight seeing we did without a guide. I wanted to know more on my return home, and have been researching further a number of the topics of the tour. Excellent value for money.

Our guide on this one was excellent with historical information and kept the pace to suit us all. Quite a steep walk with cobbled streets and it was a hot day. I would not recommend anyone with a stroller or small children to do this one, but excellent value for the able bodied.

I was supposed to take this tour, but had to cancel at the last minute. Luckily, the local tour company was owned and operated by American expats was very cooperative and booked me on a different tour the next day. It really was a big help as we were struggling to look after our pesky four-year-old. I can't comment on the tour, but was very pleased with the local operator.

This tour guide was great! He was very nice and informative. The walk is not too bad. He stopped often to talk about the area. The view from the top is a must see in Paris!

This tour had more content than I was expecting. It focused on the history of the artists who lived and worked in Montmartre. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made sure everyone could hear him.

This trip is wonderful. You are at the top before you even know it and the stories the guide told along the way made the trip go by so quickly. It was well worth it!
