This tour was cancelled and we were put on a tour of the Latin Quarter instead. Arthur was our guide and he was wonderful. There were only 3 of us on the walking tour and he personalized it to what we wanted including a special dish with our wine tasting. Great experience...would definitely recommend.
We did this tour in September 2014, and certainly got to see places and things that don't rate a mention in the normal tourist literature, which greatly helped to extend our knowledge of Paris and its history. The guide was again, well suited to the particular tour, having good personal knowledge and experience of the areas visited. We would thoroughly recommend such a tour to anyone seeking that little extra knowledge about the city than one gets by just doing the big-ticket tourist attractions. Susan and Brian Russell, Queensland, Australia.
For one who is familiar with Paris, this is highly recommended. The guide was outstanding as well as charming. I loved all of the interesting sights that one might not usually take time to see or even in some cases know about. It was a small group and that made it even nicer for a walking tour. We stopped for typical Parisian refreshments and that was fun.
Very enjoyable walking tour. Our guide Otto was excellent, fun and very informative. We saw places in Paris that were off the beaten path and allowed us to see a different Paris. Would recommend to anyone!
Alex was a fantastic tour guide! She showed us places that we'd likely never have found on our own. She's extremely knowledgeable about the history of the city! If you want to try something very different and off the beaten path, I would highly recommend this tour to anyone! It was a pleasure and having Alex guide us through these little streets made it memorable to say the least!
This tour was fantastic. There was a small group of seven (they take a max of 12) and although we stayed very close to the central tourist areas, we were shown where to find lots of hidden gems ... exactly what it said on the tin! Alix, our tour guide was superb, she was extremely friendly and very helpful and informative. The tour is very relaxed and casual which is exactly what you need on a walking tour. We had been to Paris quite a bit and saw a lot of new street, alleys, shops, markets, and not to spoil it ... gems! The macaroon and cheese tasting was great fun and we had time to chat with the group. Would highly recommend!
Fun tour! We saw the side of Paris that we hadn't seen before, and we even walked through streets very near to where we were staying, which we thought we knew and had walked countless times before. Our tour guide was fantastic, had loads of information and a great sense of humor. We saw interesting lanes, buildings, shops and alleyways, learned about the history of the areas and tasted yummy treats. We highly recommend this tour.
One of our best experiences! Arthur was terrific-so knowledgeable, energetic, warm, and fun. Walking with an expert is the way to go! The small group venue is very comfortable and affords many opportunities for questions and other interactions. The visits to the fabulous bakery and cheese tasting were icing on the cake. We would definitely opt for this tour if available in other cities we visit. Do it!
What a wonderful experience. This is by far one of the best tours I have ever done. Our wonderful guide Alex was very informative and showed us all the secret gems of Paris. We wove through many passageways and alleyways where we saw real Parisians and the real side of Paris. Most of the street we travel along had hardly any foot traffic and we were only a block away from the tourist sites. The macaroon tasting was wonderful and we stopped at a small cafe for the cheese tasting. All in all a very pleasant four hours. I will certainly recommend this to to all my friends in Australia become to France. Cheers Marilyn
I did this tour on my own whilst my husband was in Paris on business and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to see a different side of Paris. Some of the big attractions are included on the tour however you get to hear about the attractions from a different perspective with the guide telling interesting stories about the different places. Our guide, Alex was fantastic, she was so relaxed and it was more like exploring the city with a group of friends than with a bunch of strangers who I had just met. I tasted by far the best Macaroon I have ever had and we had a great tasting of 10 different cheeses. Alex organised for us to sit at a lovely cafe and taste the cheeses along with some bread and it ended up being a great time to get to know the others on the tour. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Paris, it was a wonderful change from the big attractions and definitely showed me places I would never have found on my own. Go ahead...what are you waiting for....Book it now and ask for Alex :)
This is a must! If you have been to Paris before or if you are a first time visitor, you have to take this tour. You will get to see parts of Paris that would otherwise go unnoticed. Alix was our guide and she was a delight to spend the morning with. She has so many stories about Paris and the history of the Revolution. We enjoyed this tour immensely. Très merveilleux!!
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and spoke flawless English. She did indeed show us some wonderful hidden treasures of Paris, and we had the opportunity to sample some delicious French foods. Our group was small (8 people) and our guide allowed plenty of time for us to ask questions. I can't think of a nicer way to spend a morning in Paris!
