My tour was supposed to be on Friday, but the guide, Arthur, called and asked if I could do it on Saturday with other people. I'm so glad he suggested it. There were just 3 of us, and despite the rain, it was a delightful experience. Arthur was wonderful, a charming young man who took us into the 8th arr. These were indeed "hidden gems"; I never would have found the spots we visited. The tour included a stop to try macaroons and a visit to a cheese shop for samples; because we were all a bit wet, we decided to stop at a café for coffee. We walked through old shopping arcades, passed unique works of public art and ended up at Pompidou Centre. Again, our guide made it a very special morning for us all. I highly recommend this tour.
We had two guides. They were both personable and knowledgeable. As well as entertaining, especially Arthur. It was helpful to get our bearings to the city and at the same time saw things we wouldn't have found otherwise.
Wonderful experience. Tim was a lovely guide. Can highly recommend this tour.
Really interesting way to see Paris, Alice our tour guide was informative and charming.
If you flew all night and got into Paris too early to check into your hotel, then I suggest you give this walking tour a try. We checked our bags with the hotel and caught a cab to our meeting spot. The fresh air and the exercise was great. Our guide was young but knowledgable, and her English was great. By walking we got a better feel for the city, and how to get around. Our French is limited but it was not a problem. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately we gave out of steam with about a half of an hour to go, so we caught a cab back to our hotel. By then our room was ready and we got in a little nap before we started exploring on our own.
Our guide Artur was wonderful in his role. He was funny, knowledgeable and we learned lots of historical facts and loads of little modern, inside stories. He took his time and took us on a fabulous route. We ended up not finishing until 1.30pm but others left along the way. A perfect trip with a perfect guide in a perfect city. I would definitely recommend it especially if you have seen all the major sites already.
Alix was just the most delightful young woman and gave us all a wonderful experience
This tour was informative and fun. Our guide Arthur showed us wonderful things that a lot of tourist don't know about.
My daughter and I enjoyed the tour a lot. Our guide Tim was great!
Great tour! Tim was knowledgeable and fun! Would recommend him as a guide for this or other tours. Loved the cheese sampling and seeing some areas of the city I wouldn't have found on my own.
Excellent tour. Arthur our guide was intelligent and fun. A great size group, would thoroughly recommend. We were so pleased to explore all the special secrets of Paris that we wouldn't have seen otherwise. Thai you Arthur you were great!
Maria, our guide, was a first class act. She had our 7 person group organized and with her the entire time. She took the time to interact with each of us during the walk. My wife and I cannot say enough good things about the tour and Maria's efficiency during the entire 3 hours. This tour was one of the highlights of our Paris visit. We took Maria's advice and had lunch at her favorite restaurant, Le Tambour; it was one of our best meals in Paris. A 5 out of 5 star rating for Maria and the tour!
