It was a long day, but we had a great time. We took the full day tour on a Sunday and so we got a chance to see the fountains. Our guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable. If we had gone on our own, we would probably not have seen all the beautiful grottoes in the gardens and we wouldn't have seen Marie Antoinette's peasant village, etc. I highly recommend it.
Bus ride was fine. Stops for a break were quick which we liked so that we would be on our way quickly. Our guide was a joy. Really enjoyed Bruges. Had enough time to see all of Bruges and the canal ride was fun.
Fantastic day trip! During the free time, I took a boat ride around the canal and saw one of Michelangelo's sculpture.
Terrific experience with a professional, well-informed tour guide. She was wonderful with an historical overview of the destination and made the tour more informative and entertaining. Thanks for a great experience to an enchanting city.
we are very satisfied with day trip to Bruges which is a lovely place to visit
This side trip from Paris was wonderful. An easy trip via bus, then a very nice walking tour with a multilingual guide.
Although the weather was wet and windy we still managed to have a fantastic day out Brige is beautiful and the tour was perfect .
One of the highlight tours of my stay in Paris. Well worth the travel time.
Wonderful trip from Paris to Bruges. The bus trip was enjoyable and we really loved Bruges. A great city like Paris, beautiful with a wonderful history. Seeing the Bruges Madonna was amazing. The Christmas markets were in full swing when we visited and it was truly a food fest. And the chocolate....... A fabulous day!!
Excellent!!! Perfect organization and personnel. The trip was awesome. Bruges is magical. I would love to had more time to spend there though. Great experience!!!!
An early get-up was called for and we made the effort. We had a nice bus journey to Bruges and our tour guide for the city was an experienced and knowledgeable French lady who took no nonsense from the dithery passengers to our relief. Bruges is a must see destination. Great buildings, great shops, great canal cruise, great 'Kodak moments' everywhere. We slept on the bus going home. It was a long but wonderful day. To cap it off our luggage which had been lost on the flight to Paris had turned up. A nice ending to a perfect day.
This day was fabulous: began early but catching up on sleep on the bus was possible if you wished, otherwise listening to a most interesting commentary by a gifted tour leader was inspiring! It was good that both Spanish tourists and English speaking tourists could be catered for well for the whole day - each group with their own guide.
Upon arrival in the historic Bruges a guided tour of the City was informative and wetted the appetite for our own free time to follow. It was a good time of the year to see Bruge - such an enchanting city and full of wonderful shops of all their crafts. Even some Bruges lace makers had their wares for sale. Great variety of eating places for all tastes and purses.
Well worth the long day - a wonderful way to see a city of the past, keeping up with the times.
This was a good tour. We were glad we went and experienced Belgium as a side trip. The tour was informative and just long enough, leaving us just the right amount of time to explore Bruges on our own. We ate the famous Belgium fries as well as the waffles which were REALLY good!! We were definitely glad we made time for this trip while we were in Paris.
We had a great time! Loved the cruise on the canals, had a great lunch of mussels and beer and did some shopping. Wish there had been a little more time. The only aggravating thing was the child sitting behind us on the bus was obviously very sick. The child was congested and coughing the whole time. Three days later my husband was sick thanks to parents who brought a sick child on a 14 hour tour.
We loved the trip to Bruges. The bus ride was long but comfortable enough and our guide was very
interesting and helpful. The canal ride was lovely and not too long. Chocolate and lace are great buys here and if you're bringing any gifts back home, Bruges is a much better place to shop then Paris.
Absolutely beautiful city - and the canal cruise was a special treat!
The day was seamless. The transportation and guides were first rate. It was a most enjoyable experience.
Long but fun day. The tour guide gave excellent information. Bruges is beautiful.
We had a wonderful day visiting an amazing historic city.
It was disappointing to have such a boring guide. We decided to leave the tour and explore ourselves and then catchup with the group later in the day.
The tour wasn't entirely English tour but had Japanese and Spanish visitors on the tour. The whole day was taken with interpreting from English to Spanish to overly lengthy Japanese . We believed we had paid for an English tour not multilingual. It becomes very frustrating. The guide interpreting Japanese for the 15 guests onboard the bus just kept talking for long periods of time. It appeared the Guide was studying Japanese and was getting the most out of using his acquired skills to impress- very very boring and unnecessary. This spoilt a pleasant day.
Both Guides were very rude in respect of pushing in in front of guests and having personal conversations between themselves and not interacting with their paying customers. It felt like it was imposition for them to have you on the trip.
One guide was not presented well with dirty trousers and un pressed shirt.
A city to visit but hopefully you get better guide.
Well planed trip with quality snack and potty stops to and fro. Bruges was very enchanting and the guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. A good mix of tour led and free time. The canal ride is enchanting.
Francoise was a wonderful person and guide...........very friendly, very informative, very relaxed and good sense of humor. Drivers were very smooth and proficient, even diverting around heavy traffic and an accident, still managing to get us back to Paris on time. Time in Bruges was just right; the canal boat trip was a delight; and given Francoise's recommendations, we found wonderful handmade artisan chocolates and freshly made Belgian waffles. Highly recommend for a daytrip from Paris to a small jewel box of a medieval city. Great value; professionally organized, and a totally pleasurable experience.
