Everything we hoped it would be! Our instructor was not only warm and inviting, well-trained in the art of pastry making, but also kid friendly (10 and 12). The class flowed nicely, was fun and we left with yummy pastries. Would highly recommend.
My daughter Julia absolutely loved this afternoon event, with a charming instructor and 5 other guests..lots of delicious pastries were made and sampled....Julia left her purse and the instructor waited for us to return!! more classes nxt year!!!
We had the best time taking this cooking class!!! The instructor was amazing and lots of fun. This was one of our favorite and most memorable activities in Paris!! I would highly recommend that all visitors take a class at Patisserie a la Carte!!!
Because my wife had a contagious stomach flu, we could not participate in this activity. It seems as though this would be a great activity, if you are healthy.
WE jumped off the boat after the river cruise and made our way over to the Cooking Class. There were only six of us in the class (a perfect number). We had a most enjoyable 3 hours learning how to make cream filled puff pastries -- and they actually puffed up. We filled some of them with chocolate cream, some with vanilla cream and some we left plain. Each participant took a box of their pastries home. They are supposed to be refrigerated for 24 hours before eating, but we did not have access to a refrigerator in our hotel; however, they were still pretty good the next day. If I was to do this again, it would be nice to have a schedule of what item was going to be featured on what days as she also teaches a class on cakes that I would have loved to take. But how many times would you get the opportunity to take a French Pastry Class. Fabulous!
This was SOOO much fun. I would highly recommend this to everyone that wants to try something different in Paris. My husband and I did this together. It was so much fun to watch him slam and bang the puff pastry dough into shape, since he doesn't ever do any of the cooking. Once we got there, we saw that she offers several other cooking classes- all in ENGLISH- and all looked to be amazing. I wanted to take more of her classes while we were there, but she is super popular and was all booked up. We made Nepoleon's, Palmier's, apple turnovers and the cream for the Nepoleon's. It was fantastic. Definitely book this tour
My wife and 2 daughters did this activity on our first morning in Paris, and we were enjoying the fresh pastries for days!!! They loved the instructor, who was very professional, and fun. The facilities were excellent.
After eating so many treats in Paris you finally get the chance to learn how its made!
Our chef was very knowledgable and let us get a real hands on experience.
Very clean work space but also very relaxing.

This class was fabulous! We made crème filled choux, black currant ganache tarts and caramel custard. Our chef was a great instructor and a lot of fun. We got to make everything ourselves and it all tasted fantastic!
Wonderful place. Truly great staff. We had fun and also learned a lot. The chef was really good at explaining and demonstrating every little part of the recipes, and answering all of our questions. I only wish I'd had the time to take more courses with them, but that gives me a reason to revisit Paris at a later date.
