Great experience. The drivers were friendly and the trip around town was excellent. For those curious, you can hire the coach at the tower without a prior booking, but through Viator is much cheaper. They charge 50 Euro per person for 30 minute tour. So, for 2 people to take an hour tour, as offered on Viator it would have cost us 200 Euro. We paid a little over 220 USD if I remember correctly. Convert the Euro to USD and we saved about 70 US. Not bad.
A note also for when you go, we couldn't find the coach because it was likely on the move, but it does literally, sit in front of the East corner. North corner is on the river when it's for hire. We saw it when it was closer to our departure time. I also think the claimed 6 passenger capacity is a bit misleading. It was just 2 of us, but I would have been disappointed if it were 6, unless they count the drivers. The most I see fitting into this is 4 adults. If you are extremely skinny or are counting kids, you might be ok. Overall, well worth it, wife loved it.
The ride itself was really, really nice once I got over having everybody staring at us. But on the side of the carriage it lists a price of 50 euros for a half hour ride. We payed way more than that by booking in advance. That made me a little disgruntled.

Rest assured that the ride is often fully booked and cannot be guaranteed at the last minute. The lower price is a last minute price but it is subject to availability. By booking in advance you are guaranteed the ride on the day/time that you want.
This company is the only one in Paris, so we felt pretty special doing the tour! The assistant offered to take photos of us in several locations, which was great too.

I found the service to be smooth and professional. I handed my Viator receipt to the driver and all was good. My lady and I loved the ride!

Roamed aimlessly through the streets of Paris - the 'driver' or whatever you call him never even spoke. Kinda goofy.

Viator almost ruined the whole experience. I will recommend to my friends on the idea it was a marriage proposal, but I will warn them from this site. The service, however, was good. If they manage to find the carriage not through this site, I will recommend it.
