This isn't something to do if you're easily bored or in a hurry the trip takes almost 3hrs, and each of the 9 or so locks takes about 10 minutes to get through, but if you're fed up with walking and just want to while away some time on a leisurely trip through bits of Paris tourists often miss, then do give it a go. Don't confuse it with a boat trip down the Seine - you don't see the same stuff in the same detail if you take the afternoon trip you only see Notre Dame from behind for a few moments for example and that part of the trip is undertaken pretty quickly. The commentary was really informative in English and French and the boat was welcoming and comfortable warm on even a miserably cold day. It's worth taking some juice and nibbles along for the ride if you haven't just had a meal, as there isn't a shop or anything on board though there is a loo. Lots of opportunities to take photos as the boat has an inside cabin as well as two outside areas.

The afternoon pickup location very difficult to find. Did appreciate that we were able to pick up tour even though we missed our original tour date and appreciated your company arranging that for us and at no extra charge.

A little hot, bring some beverages if you go in the summer. Very interesting tour, also a very nice park Vilette at the departure point. Get there early so you can sit at the bow. Watch out for the kids on the shore with water pistols as you are sitting in the locks.

We thoroughly enjoyed this trip. On the canal we saw Paris from a very different angle. The guide was very informative and the trip was good value for money.

Fantastic narrator, brought the river and canals to life, loved the added bonus of him playing sax whilst going through the tunnel.

The tour was lovely, the guide friendly and informative. The route takes you through some areas that you don't usually see if you stick to the tourist highlights and gives you some new insights into the city and its history.

It was really enjoyable seeing all the sights of Paris while slowly cruising along Seine river. It got a tad boring after a while, but that's just me. Overall, it's a great experience.

This was a good trip, but it was almost impossible to find the departure point - no map or clear instructions were given, and even the taxi driver didn't know exactly where it was.
