This was a great tour! Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Everyone in our group enjoyed this tour. Beware of the steps. Going down is fairly easy. Going up will be more difficult for someone out of shape or elderly. I will say that my mother was able to do it and steps are hard for her. There are 84 steps up, I believe. And it is a narrow, winding staircase.
There was a line of people waiting to get in who had not purchased a tour. I heard it was over 3 hours long. We met up with our group and went in within 15 minutes.
Wear sensible shoes because you will be walking on uneven paths with rocks and dirt. The catacombs are a bit chilly, but it felt good with all the walking.
Highly recommend. We went with a family group of 8. Youngest was 11 and oldest 64 and everyone loved it.
An excellent tour. I learnt so much more about Paris from this tour. The Guide was excellent. She made it all very interesting and spoke clearly.
our guide was great and the catacombs are very interesting. so glad we took the tour!
Well worth it great guide and we were the first ones. This tour was in the top three things we did in Paris.
This tour was so good! I am so glad we had a tour guide as I would not have known what we were appreciating! We so skipped the line! Cannot say a bad thing about it! Well done and thanks!!!:) x
There were two key points that made the tour well worth the money. 1. We saved hours queuing in the rain that may have dampened the mood once we finally got into the catacombs. 2. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and offered a great deal of information about every feature and the history of the catacombs. A very worthwhile experience!
great tour guide with lots of information about the catacombs
Amazing. Our tour guide was excellent. Knowledgeable and funny. I would say make sure u wear comfortable shoes!!!!!! If I could underline that I would!!!!
Our guide, Alberto, met us promply at the specified time. He was not only VERY informative but he was funny as well, which put the whole group ay ease. With the narrative from Alberto this tour was definetly worth it. The 1.5 hours went by quick.

My daughter went on this tour I couldn't go, she was well looked after and very safe with our lovely guide Randa the tour was very interesting and informative and maddy learned a lot about the catacombs and the history o Paris. Skip the line was definitely money well spent
I dragged my sisters on this tour and was very pleased when they said it was one of the best things we did during our week in Paris. It would not have been as awesome without our great guide who explained what we were seeing, answered all questions, and was protective and charming throughout the tour.
Excellent tour guide! We skipped right past the huge line!
Catacombs were very interesting to visit.
Excellent. Worth paying extra for the skip the lline tickets. There was over a 4 hour wait if you did not have the skip the line tickets.
Fantastic! Incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide and absolutely worth it to skip the line! Highly recommended!
So glad we pre-booked our tickets. Our tour guide was very personable, the company rep was there early to get everyone organised and we went in on time. Without the pre purchased tickets, we would have been facing a 4 hour wait in line. Highly recommend buying your tickets with Viator.
Hadn't been to the Catacombs before but am very glad I did. Can't imagine seeing the Catacombs without a guide. There is a bit of walking and some stairs to climb but it was not laborious or tiring. Two people in our group decided not to proceed before we even started because they were claustrophobic; I am, too, but there was nothing about the tour that is constraining or closed. They missed a great experience.
Skipping the line was very important, as the line was long and moves slowly. I'm glad that we had a guided v. independent tour.
After doing the tour, we realized that it is definitely the best way to see the catacombs. You get to spend more time and get excellent explanations of everything as you go. Our guide was terrific, spoke very good English and was very knowledgeable about the catacombs. The catacombs is not one of the most recognized tourist sites in Paris but is probably one of the most interesting. Don't miss it and use Viator. A little more money then doing it on your own but you won't regret it.
Wonderful tour with a wonderful guide. Very informative with no waiting. We attended these tours across Europe and all of them were very well organised and conducted. Couldn't be more highly recommended.
Very interesting and strangely beautiful. Our guide, Paulina, was great. She even gave us a great suggestion for lunch in the area.
