The best tour ever!!! What made it so perfect was our guide Violet!! The tour was with the best tour company ever! We were only 20 or so people on tour, so it made it more intimate then going with double deck bus with 70 people! those were our other tours. Violet was so knowledgeable and interesting, she told us so many interesting stories. We stopped at private little castle - winery for an amazing home made lunch roasted chicken, potatoes, salad, cheese, apple pie and wine tasting. It was such an awesome experience! Violet showed us two beautiful castles - Chambord and Chenonceau, she knew so many stories about them, and the castles were just breathtakingly beautiful!!! Once again - amazing tour and the most amazing guide! Highly recommend!
Two beautiful, informative, friendly, women guided us and the castles were amazing especially Chenonceau. The lunch/wine tasting was terrific.
This was an awesome experience!! Our tour guide Adam was very knowledgeable and fun!!
My husband and I equally loved the tour and the history shared .
The tour was a day well-spent in three very different chateaux. There is a gas station stop each way for toilets, coffee and croissants. Our guide studied history and I enjoyed the lively way she imparted history via stories. The tour inspired me to come back to France for a Chateaux hopping trip!
This is a great tour. Our tour guides, Patrice and Ruta were very knowledgeable and accommodating.
Great tour, lunch and locations. Our tour guides were super, very knowledge and super fun.
We had a wonderful time on this tour. It was a very long day but totally worth it. Oren ( not sure if I spelled her neame right) was sooo knowlegable of the area and all of France actually.I wish I could remember all the stories she told. She was a joy and fun to talk to. I loved the two in training as well Tina and Felix. I also really enjoyed the lunch we had at Nitray, it was a beautiful day ( thats a must) and we ate outside and had beautiful wines to wash down the French country-style meal. I took my mom which I also recommend:)
If the weather isn't nice I don't think you would have as great of a time because I think part of the experience is spending time walking through the gardens and smelling the frangrant flowers especially at Chenonceau. Bring a snack with you for the ride back and a book if you are able to read on a bus as the ride back is 3 hours.
Great Day. We would recommend to everyone who enjoys great historical castles. The guide was very knowledgeable and spoke great english.
Loved our tour. The guide's knowledge of history added so much value. Food was rustic and delicious. Perfect.
We really enjoyed this tour. The chateaus were amazing and we especially enjoyed the lunch at the Nitray chateau. The owner was so charming and made our time there a lot of fun. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable.
What a lovely day. Our guide Adam was very informative and had a great personality. The chateaus were amazing! Such history and grandure. Lunch and wine tasting was very pleasant, we all could have settled in. But then we would have missed the beautiful chateau Chenonceau and its gardens. A great day out!
Margie and Dunc, Australia.
We loved our guide Adam (who was funny, intelligent and engaging), the tours, the wine tastings, and the lunch. It would have been impossible to have done so much on our own, and we did more in this one day than we thought possible. It was a great time and I would highly recommend it to others!
Fabulous Tour with a very knowledgeable guide. We loved the castles, luncheon and would totally recommend this Tour. It was one of our favourites.
This was a fantastic tour and our guide Adam was incredible. The wine tasting was great and the wine so cheap to purchase and the owner and his wife were very welcoming and lunch was very enjoyable as well. The two chateaus were beautiful. Highly recommend this tour
If you are looking for a tour to give you a taste of the Loire Valley castles and a taste of the local wines, this is the tour for you. The time allocation was very good. We were given time at both of the larger castles to explore on our own after the guided tour. I didn't feel hurried. The tour guides were friendly, fun and informative. It was a wonderful day.
Not only did I learn something, but the tour guide was terrific. I wanted to hear more . It was a very pleasant day spent with the guides. I would recommend this to any one who is going to Europe.
Unrushed, relaxing and informative day. We had a wonderful time!
Daniel and Adam were great guides. We visited 3 chateaus, varying in size. The highlight of the day, although it was all wonderful, was the winery and lunch. The lunch was a fantastic meal and we even bought a few bottles of wine SO CHEAP to take back home. Best part of our Paris trip. Each chateau only has a short amount of "free" time after the tour of the main points, so if you want a lot of time at each this might not be the right tour. It was perfect for us as we wanted to see a lot in a short time.
This trip was fantastic. We had a great tour guide who told us facts as we went along the road. It is a 2 1/2 hour trip. You meet across from the subway stop so look for the bus as there are a few exits . The wine tasting was a big treat as it was sunny and a gorgeous day. The dinner was good and the wine was delicious. You can also buy wine to take home for 5e a bottle. There was also wine tasting at the chenonceau . The chateau and wine was great along with some beautiful gardens.
Wow! What a great tour! The chateaux were beautiful and lunch and wine was great. Good value tour, our guides were great everything went smoothly.
Great Trip. A lot of time in the bus, but it was worth it. We had two great guides Paulina and Adam - both very nice and knowledgeable. People were divided into two smaller groups, we were assigned to Adam and he absolutely charming, funny and provided us with very many interesting facts from the French history. Castles are captivating, the history behind them so interesting. I took many great pictures. September is the month to visit France. We had great sunny days, mild temperatures, comfortable nights. Visit at the Vinery was a great addition to the trip. The owner was extremely friendly (and funny), hot lunch was good, chicken, great local cheeses, fresh apple tart for desert ... and the vine - plenty of it to taste and even to buy at a very reasonably price. We took a bottle home with us, to US.
