Not only did I learn something, but the tour guide was terrific. I wanted to hear more . It was a very pleasant day spent with the guides. I would recommend this to any one who is going to Europe.
Unrushed, relaxing and informative day. We had a wonderful time!
Daniel and Adam were great guides. We visited 3 chateaus, varying in size. The highlight of the day, although it was all wonderful, was the winery and lunch. The lunch was a fantastic meal and we even bought a few bottles of wine SO CHEAP to take back home. Best part of our Paris trip. Each chateau only has a short amount of "free" time after the tour of the main points, so if you want a lot of time at each this might not be the right tour. It was perfect for us as we wanted to see a lot in a short time.
This trip was fantastic. We had a great tour guide who told us facts as we went along the road. It is a 2 1/2 hour trip. You meet across from the subway stop so look for the bus as there are a few exits . The wine tasting was a big treat as it was sunny and a gorgeous day. The dinner was good and the wine was delicious. You can also buy wine to take home for 5e a bottle. There was also wine tasting at the chenonceau . The chateau and wine was great along with some beautiful gardens.
Wow! What a great tour! The chateaux were beautiful and lunch and wine was great. Good value tour, our guides were great everything went smoothly.
Great Trip. A lot of time in the bus, but it was worth it. We had two great guides Paulina and Adam - both very nice and knowledgeable. People were divided into two smaller groups, we were assigned to Adam and he absolutely charming, funny and provided us with very many interesting facts from the French history. Castles are captivating, the history behind them so interesting. I took many great pictures. September is the month to visit France. We had great sunny days, mild temperatures, comfortable nights. Visit at the Vinery was a great addition to the trip. The owner was extremely friendly (and funny), hot lunch was good, chicken, great local cheeses, fresh apple tart for desert ... and the vine - plenty of it to taste and even to buy at a very reasonably price. We took a bottle home with us, to US.
Great tour, wonderful chateaus, lunch and wine tasting excellent. A very long day... But worth it!
Tour guides excellent. Would have liked longer time to linger at Chenonceau, but I understand that time is limited on these group tours.
This tour was so interesting that I am now going to go home and read up on my history of French royalty!. Our tour guide, Pauline, really knew her stuff, and gave us some great information on all the places visited. Chenoncea was fascinating and my clear favourite.
A day we will never forget, this tour was something so incredible and unforgetable. We recommend to everyo e to take this tour because the guides teach you so much, the guides are super organized and funny and make the day so special with the lunch in a beautiful location and the wine tastings too.
Our tour to Chateaux de Chambord and Chenonceau was amazing our tour guide Adam was the best tour guide ever, he made the experience fun and full of interesting facts. I would do it again and so would my 18 year old son. I recommend it for everyone. It was just fabulous.
We had a great day and the highlight was the French meal at the winery, Chateau de Nitray. The huge crowds at Chateau de Chenonceau was a spoiler for what was otherwise a wonderful day.
We finished off our Paris trip with this tour on the last day. It was a highlight of our trip. Adam, the guide, was great. The wine tasting was awesome; it was really nice to have a regular folksie meal over Parisian restraunt fare. Our biggest complaint is that you pack a lot into one day, and so you don't get to spend a lot of time at the castles. Chenonceau was pretty packed. When we go back to Paris, we want to go back to the Loire Valley. Out of all the things we did, this tour was the most memorable.
