Our guide Raphaëlle was very informative and passionate about the museum. Beside seeing the big attractions. Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo, she spent time giving details and history of the building and the lesser know works.
She's extremely knowledgable and entertaining. We would have never appreciated what we saw without her insight and background about the various pieces we saw.
It is no secret that the Louvre is huge and that you absolutely need a tour guide to get the most out of your time there; all that you really need to know is that Raphaelle with Skip the Line tours is the best you could hope for! Her wit, insight and passion made our experience truly unforgettable!
The guide was well-informed and passionate about explaining the art history all the way back from Egypt to the renaissance. Not having to wait in line is definitely way to go! Glad we booked this tour.

This was a wonderful tour. It was important to skip the line since there are thousands of people there. The guide, Violet, was very knowledgeable. We saw the highlights of the museum with great explanations of each art work. City Wonders is the company that gave the tour and we had one other tour with them that was equally delightful. This personnel associated with this company are all pleasant, knowledgeable, and efficient. Especially interesting to see was the foundations of the original building on the site, which I suppose not every tour covers.
The dinnar was very good.
The show at Moulin Rouge was of course eccelent.
But the guid was the best. He did all his best to make our evning plesant
the tour was perfect
- Tour guide was very professional
- Tour was well scheduled to avoid the crowd
- the wireless earpiece was a good point,
to have a good hearing to the guide and to not miss the group
- Skipping the line many times to save time walking around the museum wings
This was the only way to go. My family wants to go back and learn more
Probably because of semi wet weather in Paris during our stay we four had a private tour which was great, more intimate. Our guide, Catorina, was great, very knowledgeable and personable.
The tour was amazing! The tour guide was well prepared, engaging, and had a good pace. Would recommend this your to anyone who is touring the Louvre for the first time.
Fantastic. The tour guide Katherine was excellent.
The tour was more, very much more than we expected.
Claire M was our guide to an evening tour of the Louvre. The tour was absolutely wonderful as was Clair. Without her insights and knowledge we would have missed so much. Claire helped us to really see the works of art in a new way. I would highly recommend the evening tour, the museum is much less crowded and your tour will be more relaxed. Thanks Claire for a very memorable tour.
This tour was amazing. Our tour guide was a sweet girl. Very helpful. She was well versed in her teachings. She also went out of her way to help my wife with her difficulties walking the Louvre. She had patience and offered her the elevator. And waited for her and my father who also walked a bit slo

Claire M was fantastic! She seemed genuinely interested about the history of the Louvre and its art. This tour is a must while you are in Paris, definitely take advantage of the evening tours if you can, as the crowds were minimal. You are given plenty of time to listen to the story of each piece and take photos. Good walking pace, and we even got a bonus tour of the Napoleon III apartments at the end of our walk. Thanks Claire M.
There is something about a well arranged tour. Our guide Yvonne was a superb example of that -- well informed and filled with exciting anecdotes about not just the art pieces but the entire Louvre herself.
The tour's gathering point is the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel not to be confounded with the more famous Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile, but behold since this tour is not alone in picking this spot so make sure you are in time and know the name of your planned walking tour and things will be a lot less confusing.
Due to terror threats there were several security checks so if you won't necessarily need that large backpack or handbag please consider leaving it at home and travel lightly for Parisian museums for the moment. In worst cases, you won't even be granted entrance if carrying too large of a bag. Eating and drinking during the museum walkabout is usually not permitted, but this is generally not a problem since the restrooms hold special taps for drinking water. Also, a small water bottle is not a problem to carry with you. Save yourself for the appointed food and restaurant areas instead.
The walking tour holds excellent speed, even though in my opinion we could have moved around more quickly thus made room for more art pieces. But I understand art selfies is a big thing in some social spheres.
The idea of this guided tour is basically a small, intimate group with room for dialogues, questions and universal ponders. Alas, it will also occasionally suffer from any family get-together you ever encountered. So not only was the tour splendid in information and personal space, it was also a fair loyal waiting for the other tour members even though we were only six people in total. Even so, the pros and cons about a democratic tour always wins me over to the pros in the end. And where wouldn't it be better to experience the essence of Liberté, égalité, fraternité than in France herself?
Tour was very informative. Guide very knowledgeable and entertaining. Enjoyed it very much. Great way to deal with the vastness of the museum
Wonderful tour, excellent guide with lots of information about what we were seeing and the stories behind much of the artwork and the Louvre itself. Can't say enough good things about the knowledgeable tour guide you provided.
I can't imagine touring the Louvre without a guide. It would be truly overwhelming! Our guide was very knowledgeable and packed a ton into three hours!
Great tour! I highly recommend seeing the Louvre this way. Trying to find everything on your own would be very tough. Rafaelle was very knowledgeable and she kept the tour at a great pace.
Awesome! The evening tour was ideal. The Louvre was not crowded. Slowed me to take my family, boys, directly to the Louvre highlights.
Great tour, fortunately for us the soccer games were going on and this was an evening tour so there were no crowds.
