No one has 3 months to go through the Louvre and see everything, so this tour is the best way to see all the most famous pieces as well as many others you'll just fall in love with! Catherine, our guide, was engaging and knowledgeable. She guided us past the crowds and through some of the most interesting pieces in the museum in a clear consice manner that really showed not just her knowledge, but her passion. Even after the tour was done, I was so keen to explore on my own and she was extremely helpful and even added a few things to my list of 'must sees' that I was so pleased with! I would highly recommend this tour as a starting point to your love affair with the Louvre!
This was an excellent tour. The Louvre is such a huge museum and it would have been difficult to navigate and see the highlights on our own. Our guide was very knowledgeable and provided excellent narration. You are given headsets so you are able to hear your guide while walking through the busy museum. It is a long tour so be prepared with comfortable walking shoes. Overall, excellent tour and would do it again.
It is the way to go! Walked right in past other people and our tour guide was excellent. We listened to her voice in earbuds given to us to block out all the atmosphere noise. She knew the most interesting parts of the museum and highlighted the the most infamous works, hence allowing us to see what we all really came to see in a succinct amount of time. Well done!
Loved it! Caroline our guide was excellent, really enthusiastic about her subject and took the group at a good pace. We were on a weekend break and this is a great way to experience the louvre.
Can recommend evening tour, as the crowds are reduced and you get out at a great time to eat.
Our guide Caroline was very informative and friendly. Excellent experience. Can't imagine getting through the Lourve without a guide!
Fantastic tour! The guide was so knowledgeable and so personable. Of course we saw Venus de Milo and Mona Lisa, but she also showed us pieces I would have overlooked. For example, she brought us to a marble sculpture of a woman, and you could see her face through her veil. Amazing! We signed up for the tour that limited the number in the group, and it was totally worth the price.
The tour was amazing. The guide (Raphael) was extremely knowledgeable and made sure that we saw everything that we wanted to. Well worth the cost by far! Without this tour you would spend hours waiting in lines, not know what you were looking at more than half the time, spend hours trying to find the stuff you want to see and not know a lot of the background history behind the pieces. Would highly recommend!
The tour guide was very knowlegeable about art history and gave us alot of information about specific
art work. The 3 hr tour was exciting and extremely interesting.
Our guide was fantastic! His knowledge and insight was incredible! Loved every minute of it! Job well done Alex!!!!
We went on this tour, with 2 kids (ages 16 and 20). Our tour guide was amazing, spoke perfect english. We definately recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see the Lourve who does not have an art background. His information about the artists, the statues, the history kept us interested the whole time. We toured the main exhibitions, saw it all. Highly recomend this tour!!!
The tour was excellent and is the only way to see the Louvre! Our tour guide was very passionate and knowledgeable which made for a very interesting tour. Firstly hearing about the history of the Louvre and then going underneath the Louvre to see the old city walls was unexpected but fascinating. We then moved through the Louvre to see and learn about various sculptures and paintings which really would be just too difficult to do without a guide. Highly recommend this tour.
