I started off my trip with this tour and it was fantastic. Randa was fabulous. She was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Paris in general and about Ile de la Cite in particular. She was very entertaining. This tour inspired me to go out and buy a couple of books at Shakespeare and Company about the history of Paris, and informed my travels around the rest of the city. This was my favorite event in Paris!
Randa was a fantastic guide who kept things very interesting and animated throughout the whole tour. She made everyone feel involved and welcome and was full of great information! Well worth the money!
I have been to Paris two consecutive summers. Both times I have used Viator for many tours and have never had a problem. The tour guides are great and everything goes as planned. The first summer I was in Paris, I just viewed Notre Dame Cathedral from the outside and the lines were too long to go inside. This time around, I booked a "skip the line tour" ahead of time to gain entrance to the inside of Notre Dame. The first two hours was a walking tour around the area and in the neighborhood by Notre Dame. It was interesting to learn the history around the area. Next, we were able to walk right into the Cathedral and our tour guide continued to give us great information. Finally, we were going to the top of the bell tour. It is over 400 plus steps. We made it to the gargoyles and our small group was able to go out and take pictures of the city of Paris. It was beautiful and we took pictures of the city and of course the gargoyles. We decided not to go the next 200 steps up, only because we already had a wonderful view of the city! I will continue to use Viator, they are great!
Linda, our guide was a pleasure! The history was presented with humor, yet loaded with facts. Excellent!
Ronda was GREAT. This tour was a bit different than I understood it. We walked the island and learned A LOT of Paris history - that was great! We jumped the line to go to the top of Notre Dame which was the only way to get to the top, even in November. I would have like to see the inside of the Saint Chappelle but that part of this tour. We took many stops to talk so the walking can be handle by all ages.
Tour guide was great. He was from UK which was great for an English-speaking tour. He was very passionate about the history of the area and the architecture; so the presentation was really great. He was also very personable. It was a great tour!
It was raining the day of our tour but we still had a great time. We even climbed up the tower. Our tour guide was very informative about the area.
We learnt a lot about the history of Paris and of course Notre Dame Cathedral is just stunning
This was an excellent tour and I really appreciated learning the historical background of the Ile de la Cite, as it provides the visitor to Paris a background for understanding the formation of the city from Roman times, as well as its continued transformation. I was really impressed with the knowledge demonstrated by our guide which made it clear the importance of the island, despite being the location of Notre Dame.
Wow we walked all 422 steps to the top and skipped the queue too it was fantastic! Once again viator picked an amazing tour guide she was very knowledgeable.
Our guide was a student from Canada and had lived in Paris for many years. He was very knowledgeable about the Cathedral from the history to the construction and was able to answer a wide variety of questions. He kept a good eye on us, warning about potential pick pockets and kept the group together through some pretty significant crowds.
we were so glad we booked this tour as the lines were extremely long. It was great going up to the bell towers where the views were well worth the climb. a beautiful building
