This was amazing! The guide was great, very funny and reallly knew his stuff. What an incredbile experience. I would caution once more that there are alot of stairs going into and exiting the Catacombs, and the floor can be a bit slick. Having recently broken my leg in a fall, I was worried about losing my footing, so I'm glad that he warned us in advance. I'm also glad that I didn't know when I booked this, because I might not have, and I wouldn't have wanted to miss the experience.

My husband, 18 yr old daughter and I booked this tour months before our trip as this was the one trip my daughter really wanted to do. Once we arrived and saw the line ups that snaked around the block I was so glad we had pre-booked. Our guide was a fun loving young fellow from New Jersey and he made the tour a lot of fun. He had some great historical details interspersed with fun facts and very funny stories. The tour was an excellent size (19) and was all ages. He allowed us to really take our time and spend the time we needed to explore and take the photos we wanted. My daughter was extremely satisfied with this tour as were my husband and I. I would definitely book another trip with this company and highly recommend them to friends and family.

This tour was fantastic! Our guide Aaron was very knowledgeable. He was a great person to listen to and attentive to all our needs. Well worth paying more to skip the line also as we went straight in. A blessing on a hot day.

Very interesting and fun. Our guide was not particularly knowledgeable but it was great to skip the queue and go straight in
I didn't find it macabre at all - the bones have been treated with great respect and it is fascinating to see how the old quarry has been shored up to prevent caveins

The catacombs is a very interesting place but the whole experience could be made more of. Unfortunately our guide did not appear to be well informed. A guide is there to add colour and bring to life the place you are visiting. I'm afraid he seemed quite disinterested in the tour.

Connor, the tour guide, was not really up to the task. He told us that the last bones were sent to the Catacombs just after the French Revolution. When I saw a sign on the wall indicating that bones from a certain cemetery were placed there in 1859 he seemed surprised. And acknowledged, of course, that the sign was not a mistake. Actually there are many signs down there that announce bodies buried there in 1859. Connor needs to do some research and read all the inscriptions on the walls.

Connor also told us that the remains of Louis XVI were transferred to the Catacombs. I don't think so. I'm not sure Connor knows much about French history. When someone asked if the skulls of people were smaller back then he was unable to give an answer. Someone then suggested that perhaps some of the smaller skulls on view belonged to children. Connor is not on the ball. He should be better informed.
