Versailles is everything and more than we could have ever imagined. The gardens are magnificent which we were able to explore before entering the Palace. Our guide, Bob, was extremely informative and he made the history of France come alive. We would definitely recommend this trip especially being able to skip the line to not only get in but buying your ticket to get in. The line was incredibly long and it was only 10 o'clock in the morning and very hot.
SAM was our tour guide. He was amazing. He was a great storyteller and knew a lot about the history of the Palace and its previous occupants. He kept everyone in the group involved. He is very personable and engaging. He made our visit to the Palace much more educational and enjoyable than it would have been on our own.
Hannah was our tour guide. She was actually from London and had been in Paris for nearly a year. Very knowledgeable and took us through the gate and had a lovely tour of the Gardens with her. Then she tookus to the group gate for fast admission and made sure we were set with our audioguides. Definitely would recommend this excursion to Versailles.
Our guide was just amazing! So nice to meet a guide at a cafe and have them assist you onto the Metro
station. IF you do not speak the language or are familiar with the area
The place is over over- whelming... A guide is really helpful! The entire family learned SO much.
If only History teachers were that interesting!
Sam was a fantastic guide! This tour was well worth the skip the line feature alone! Sam's knowledge and personable demeanor was the icing on the cake! Definitely recommend.
Best way to explore Versailles! The structure of the day works really well - gardens first allow you to hear about the history of the palace before entering. It is incredibly crowded inside the palace, so it works well to have the audio guide and go at your own pace. We were grateful that we booked this tour after considering navigating Versailles on our own. Just the skip the line alone is worth the price!
It was great
Melissa was excellent. She was organized, engaging and knowledgable
Perfect to travel to Versailles by train it is quick and easy and our tour guide is great. He is with us at all time. Job well done!
I truly loved the tour that Dani sp gave us. The information and little stories that she told were very good and I was impressed with her knowledge of the history of Versailles in light of the fact that she has only been doing this job for a couple of months. I would definitely suggest this company to anyone. It was worth the price just to be able to skip the line to get into the castle. I especially like the size of the group. A small number of people is so much easier to deal with and be able to hear the guide then if we were 50 people. Unfortunately I did not take any photos.
Dani, thanks again for a wonderful day.
We liked it! We got a lot of good information about the history of Versailles from our guide. We were able to tour the gardens with the group, skip the line, and tour the palace at our own pace. Guide was friendly and energetic. Would recommend!
We would never be able to tour the Gardens and get the history behind Versailles without taking this tour. Our guide was able to take us through the Gardens so that we were able to catch each fountain as it turned on. Versailles is also so crowded that the skip the line is well worth it.
Tour to Versailles was outstanding. Our guide, Melissa, was fabulous. Her knowledge of French history was fantastic, making the trip both fun and informative. She's a star.
This experience was beyond incredible. Our tour guides were most wonderful - helpful, informative and enthusiastic. My research suggested that going on a Tuesday would be a good bet to see some of the fountains turned on. We must have had excellent karma because all the fountains were on, which the guides assured us is a rare treat indeed. I like that the guided part was in the gardens while the 'on your own' part was in the palace. The palace is very crowded and it would have been stressful trying to keep up with a guide in it. There is a wireless transmitter that will tell you all you'd care to know. The gardens were not crowded at all and we appreciated learning about the history from our guides.
Great tour guide! Had heaps of informations that never knew exists. The skip the line was amazing, save loads of time after the garden tour.
This is well worth it. Having a guide is great, you learn a lot more about the history of Versailles and the palace/gardens. We skipped all lines into the garden and palace. Once the tour was over we were allowed to stay inside the palace for as long as we wanted and go back into the gardens.
Our guide Richard was very informative - members from 3 generations in my family went on this tour and there was something of interest to all!
This tour was absolutely amazing, without it we would have had no idea what we were looking at. The tour guide was very knowledgable, told us some amazing facts that I went back and told friends. I would recommend this to everyone because without it you will be lost!
This tour was amazing. Our guide was informative and funny. He answered our questions and even offered to take pictures of our party of seven. I highly recommend it.
Excellent tour! Our guide Hannah made what could have been a congested mess a very enjoyable your. She navigated us around the grounds effortlessly and got us in queue on time to gain admittance to the chateau. Well worth the price!
This tour ended up being one of the best things we did while in Paris. It was very organized and we loved that it was a smaller group. The best part was our guide, Richard. He was very enthusiastic and kept us interested with the entertaining way he presented the history of Versailles.
