This Tour was the perfect tour to get the information you needed and seeing the sights directly without wasting any time waiting in line or figuring out what you're looking at. We met up with the first guide in Paris outside of train station at Musee d'Orsay and she guided us all the way to Versailles where we met our second tour guide. She was very informative and patient. She gave us ample time to view sights and take pictures as well as giving us insightful information about the different areas of the garden and the palace itself. If there was one thing worth visiting while you're in Paris, I recommend taking this tour. The gardens are magnificent and breathtaking and the Hall of Mirrors was absolutely beautiful in all its sunlit grandeur. While there could have been more time spent exploring the gardens, the entire tour lasted about 3 hours and was the perfect amount of time to take in Versailles. Once the tour completed within the palace walls, you were free to explore the palace on your own or checkout the area. There are lots to see and do and it was absolutely great.
Well organized, easy way to get to Versailles with a guide - takes the stress off a non French speaker. Beautiful garden tour and inside the castle. Just long enough! Good size group and tour guide!
We were met promptly at the elephant statue in front of Musee d'Orsay by Adam, an extremely friendly young man who is a Canadian going to school in Paris. He took us to the metro and gave us all tips, suggestions, on how to use the metro and helped us with several other questions. When we arrived at Versailles, he handed us over to Caroline who was going to give us the tour of the Palace, etc. Caroline was an excellent tour guide with a great sense of humour. The Palace and Gardens are spectacular. It was a very hot day and quite crowded but she was able to guide us through the crowds fairly quickly and was able to get us to the front of the line quite adeptly. Caroline was very passionate about the history and it was highly evident. In fact she commented that she "loved" Versailles Palace. She was an excellent tour guide and you would be very fortunate to have her if you went on this tour.
We had a great time and the guide was brilliant. Our experience started very positively with the escort from Central Paris and continued all the way through.
Kind and knowledgable coordinator. Tour guide at Versaille was incredibly knowledgable. Good with the jokes too, Worth it.
we loved it n we will do it again with the same tour guide, she was awesome n cheerful, Merci
We really enjoyed this tour of Versailles. It very well organized and our tour guide was very knowledgable. A wonderful experience. Thank you!
AMAZING!!!!!! Highly recommend. This was an amazing tour, skip the line is needed (as the line is HUGE!) and having a guide was essential to explain the property.
This was a great tour! I don't think visiting Versailles in the summer is probably ever ideal because of the heat and the crowds. However, that's when we were in Paris so that's when we went. By using this tour, we most definitely saw more of the gardens and the palace than we'd have bothered with (considering the crowds). Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic... he made the tour a pleasure! Absolutely recommend this tour as it takes navigating your way to and from Paris, and standing in the lineups, out of the equation.
Floren/Flo was great! He really knew a lot and showed us Versaille Gardens in such an interesting way. Once inside the Palace, he continued to be chock full of information. Skipping the line is key as it was tourist season and the line was a couple hundred people deep. If you are going during the height of the tourist season, this is the only way I recommend going into Versaille.
Wow excellent Tour! It was the first of five tours we had lined up for us (2 adults and 3 children) and our faviolurite. All five of us loved it. I think our guide had alot to do with the experience...she was fluent in English, very knowledgeable, experienced and friendly. We throughly enjoyed it.
Great tour! Organized. Knowledgeable guide. Would definitely recommend this tour!
I took the afternoon 1400 option from Paris. Met at the front of the Musee D'orsay. As a group we took the train to Versailles which was about 1/2 hr. A well paced guided tour with a local guide. There was free time after the tour if you wanted to stay back, and the return train ticket had no time limit.
The Versailles Palace and Gardens walking tour was a fantastic tour. The trip to Versailles could be confusing to those who have not taken the Paris metro and do not know their way around. To help, the tour actually starts in Paris and the tour guides take you to Versailles on the metro. This is important: You do NOT need to buy any metro tickets in preparation for your tour to Versailles. The tour will provide them for you. We made the mistake of purchasing them ahead of time and ended up spending more money than we needed to. Once at Versailles, you will get another tour guide who will guide you through the palace and gardens. She was fantastic and gave us all of the time we needed to walk around the grounds. Our tour was very small - only 5 people so it was very personable and customized to our liking. I highly recommend this tour.
