This tour was excellent. Our guide (Alex) did a great job of keeping the group together, accommodating special requests from people in the group, and providing us with his knowledge of Versailles. The tour was the right amount of time. We walked the grounds extensively (wear closed toe, comfortable shoes, as the walkways are gravel/sand and we walked over 4 miles) and it was beautiful. The "bag lunch" was very good, too. I was a little surprised that we spent about 75% of our time on the grounds and 25% of our time in the Chateau/Palace... but I was also glad. Our guide allowed us about 45 minutes of time to browse the Versailles street market, and get a phenomenal banana/Nutella crepes (I highly recommend it).
Another great aspect of this trip is that you get back to Paris in time for dinner. We felt like we saw everything we came to see in a relatively short time frame. Excellent trip and well organized!
The tour was wonderful. What made it special was our tour guide, Alex. We were not sure how to get back to our hotel. Alex went out of his way to get us on the right train, he got off at our stop and even pointed out a great place to eat. The picnic lunch was great. Alex even provided to cork screw to open the wine we bought at the market. 5 star!
Our guide Steph was awesome, it was wet and miserable, but she made the tour fun and interesting, very knowledgable person, we don't think it would have been as enjoyable without Steph. She saved the day by giving us her umbrella, Thank you Steph for a fun and enjoyable day from the girls Phillip Island Australia.
This was an absolutely fabulous tour. Connor, our guide for the day was brilliant. He was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. He went out of his way to help and assist. All his instructions were clear and he made sure everyone knew what was happening. (meeting times and places etc.)
The gardens were fantastic, even though we were unable to see the fountain show. The Palace was very busy but Connor had told us the 'must see' rooms and this was very helpful.
Our picnic beside the Grand Canal was, again, fabulous.
We had a fantastic day and would recommend this to anyone.
Thank you Viator and Connor.
We are thinking of taking a tour of Italy next year and will definitely look at any tours you have.
Again, Thank You.

On a very rainy day we met our guide Stephanie, a very pleasant and knowledgeable young lady who made this tour worthwhile. Her care for use was fabulous under dismal condition. Lunch was very good and the additions from the market place, fresh fruit, cheese and local wine, made it more then enough. This tour has quite a bit of walking, so if you can't, don't. The gardens and palace are impressive! The fountains were great and the show enjoyable. The "skip the line" entrance to the palace should have been better organized by the Versailles Employees. Our tour guide did everything she could to try to get us in, but wait we did. It was very crowded in the Palace and not for those that do not like crowds, but impressive none the less. Finally were taken back to Paris and Stephanie insured we all got to our trains safely. The guide was a five and the tour a four.
We were very unlucky with the weather, but that did not detract from the excellent service we were given. The market was an eye opener, picnic delicious ,and Versailles it self was beautiful ,certainly recommend it.
Our tour was through Easy Pass Skip the Line Tours and our guide was Melanie from Melbourne. She was extremely outgoing and knowledgeable. We learned lots of history, had a lovely lunch in the park on the canal built by Louis XIV, and toured the grounds and chateau with plenty of time. It was a long day and we preferred the outdoor part of the tour because of the volume of people in the chateau. It was very nice to see the village market place as well. All in all, an excellent day.
Even though I would not recommend coming in August way to busy with people. The guide was fantastic very knowledgeable, great range of activity during the tour.
We had a fantastic time on this guided tour. Our guide, Stephanie, Was awesome! We didn't know we were supposed to be in the gardens for as long as we were, but it was amazing out there. And it was super crowded inside the chateau, so it was better outside in the gardens. We weren't allowed to bring our leftover food or wine into the chateau, but our guide was. Ice enough to keep it for us while we were in there.
This tour has a LOT of walking. Versailles gardens and palace are Beautiful! We were there in June and it was a warm day. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The fountains were Fantastic!
The "skip the line" entrance to the palace should have been better organized by the Versailles Employees. Our tour guide did everything he could to try to get us in, but other "Pushy: guides and their groups would push us out of the way.
It was crowded in the Palace and sometimes hard to find the number for the audio guide because other folks would stand in front of the signs with the numbers.
A great day Really enjoyed the whole package - train ride, market visit and the Versailles tour. We would never have contemplated touring the Chateau without the skip the line advantage - the queues were never ending
Very well run by our guide Ben who was extremely knowledgeable , friendly and helpful.
The tour was amazing. The gardens were incredible. The only downside was in the palace itself, we were packed in so tight you couldn't really enjoy the visit. Our guide Richard was informative, entertaining and made the tour worth being on. We would do it again minus the palace itself and just spend the time in the gardens
