We really enjoyed this tour. The guide was very helpful and interesting and had heaps of knowledge about the area. The tastings were great especially the croissants which were the best we'd ever tried. Would definitely recommend.
Our driver, Gordy, made the drive to Napa/Sonoma enjoyable and a learning experience as well. We loved visiting the wineries and being able to visit them in beautiful weather. We felt we were learning as well as experiencing a wonderful time.
Our guide, Alexandra, was personal and very knowledgable. She taught us a lot about architecture, as well as giving us a great introduction to the Bastille market. Thoroughly enjoyable. I would recommend it.
This small group tour is wonderfull. I would recommend it to all who are interested in local French grocery shopping.
The tour was delicious! The tour guide was very knowledgeable about both food and antiques. We really enjoyed the guides personality. She was wonderful. We brought a shopping cart, which was a great idea, because we went home overflowing with fresh bread, fruit, cheeses and meats.
Our guide was full of interesting information. She led us to wonderful and delicious spots along the way. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour!
This food tour was by far my absolute favorite part of our Paris vacation. We were able to get a glimpse of the lives of everyday Parisians and tasted a wonderful variety of culinary delights. At the first stop we had THE BEST croissant I have ever had the pleasure of devouring. After that we were off to a market where we had fresh oysters, tourine (jellied ham dish), delicious fresh fruits that were almost too beautiful to eat, sausages and cheese. The finale was a wine bar with casks of wine where we sampled some amazing duck pâté and deep fruity red wine. What a great day! My parents, husband, sister-in-law, 16 year old niece and our 5 year old daughter were really happy with this tour. Our guide was very knowledgable and kind. My daughter was in food heaven, she is quite the foodie and she devoured almost all of the duck pâté and oysters all by herself! Highly recommend this tour!
Wonderful experience. We learned so much and our guide spoke English very well.
Host was awesome - she taught us about architecture of paris, the history of the bastille region, the passion and inlfuence of food. LOVED it.
We were the only guests on this tour and our guide was just wonderful. She not only gave us a wonderful journey through the markets (tasting as we went) but shared the history of the neighborhood and took us to visit craftspersons as well. The stop at le
Baron Rouge was interesting as my friend took a picture of the proprietor and got quite the lecture on French photo ettiquette. A fun visit to 'old Paris'
Loved this tour! We went in winter and it was perfect, our guide Anne-Marie was wonderful. The Bastille district was lovely. We had the best croissants, cheese, bread and wine I've ever tasted. Loved walking around on a lazy Sunday. Definitely worth it!
Fabulous. Our guide was delightful! We were the only people on the tour so it was a very personal experience. The whole market experience was so interesting with our highly informed guide, and we went to places we would never have found or known about ourselves. Pricey but well worth it.
This was truly the highlight of our trip. We were lucky enough it was just the two of us.I am a chef and really came to Paris to focus on food, Our guide showed us incredible places and was well versed in the history of the area. A home run!!
A personal insight into the Bastille district. Good fun and tasty food to try.
