We had a wonderful time on this tour. Our guide was so knowledgable with Paris history that we wished we would have taken the tour on the first day we arrived instead of on the last. It was also nice that even though there were certain locations that were set up to stop at we didn't feel rushed at all !!! I highly recommend this tour !!! Well worth the cost !
fantastic we loved this tour and was our favorite loved our guide alexandra!
We took the food and market tour last week and it was one of the best experiences we had in Paris. In addition to the food market, our guide showed us a little bit of history between the meeting point and the market. In addition to the samples provided as part of the tour, we also had a wide assortment of fresh fruits as we walked though the market. I would recommend this to anyone staying in Paris.
Alexandra our tour guide was delightful. I had never visited the Bastille and her history of the area was fantastic. There were plenty of tastings, defiantly don't have breakfast before hand. The markets were colourful. I really enjoyed the morning. I'd highly recommend it to any foody.
This is a must. We were able to see working Paris from a foodie point of view. Highly recommend.
Just the 2 of us! Brilliant and I teresti g tour. Highly recommend it.
A first rate guide. for someone going to Paris this is a must. Chris.
We really enjoyed this food market tour even though it was a bitter cold morning. Our guide Alexandria was very informative and knowledgable about local history, the local area, as well as many aspects of food production and marketing. Her style was chatty and friendly. The market stall holders were happy for us to taste different foods and the owners of the wine shop would have been happy to open another bottle for us. We revisited the market again during our stay in Paris and we're glad that we did this early on in our stay.
Our tour guide, Alexandra, gave us a good background of the history of the area. We saw some unusual places that I want to return to get some furniture made. It was a good value for the tour and the samples of food and wine.
This was a fun tour. Our guide, Alexandra, was charming and informative. She explained the history of the Bastille area and the market area as we moved along our tour route. We visited a variety of shops and market stalls. She had great information at each stop. She helped people in the group order from the market stalls and shops. This was a highlight of our visit to Paris.
Very educational. She did an excellent job and we all felt we learned a lot and tasted a lot of foods.
Our guide was so knowledgeable and so friendly. We learned a tremendous amount about the history of Paris as a city and she took us to great places as part of the food tour. I highly recommend this tour.
A great way to see areas of Paris. Our guide was very informative and good fun. The food we got to experience was excellent! A good way to sample some great food and markets of Paris.
We loved this! We had a group of 4 and a friendly and informative guide. The guide filled us in on a lot of the history of Paris and this area which was most fascinating and was able to answer a whole lot of questions we had been bottling up. The food was delicious - I wished we had done this earlier in our stay. Great value for money.
Excellent tour in the food and market area of the 12th A. Alexandra our guide was informative and spoke excellent English. Nice easy pace, wonderful being able to sample all the fresh foods , cheeses, seafood, pastries , fruit and wines etc. Really came away quite full which we were not expecting. A good way to find out how to shop economically in Paris.
This was a very interesting and "tasty" tour ! Our guide Alexandra was lovely and very informative not only about the foods we tasted but also about the history of the area. Our group consisted of just our party of 5 so it was very intimate and suited all our ages ( three teenagers and two 50 somethings !)
The tour was conducted at a steady pace and the tastings varied and delicious - cheeses, wine, oysters, croissants, yummy strawberries, charcuterie, gingerbread - it was great !
What a wonderful way to learn about the "French daily cultures".
Alexandra was very informative, and answered allour questions. Great selection of food items to taste,
And the wine was lovely that I drank with a friend, back at my apartment.
Will look for another walking food tasting tour , in another area of Paris , next vacatui
Our guide, Alexandra, was excellent! She knew where to take us and shared many anecdotes and tips about how seriously the French take their produce. The pace was just right and anyone- you don't have to be a foodie- would have enjoyed this tour. We sampled as we went along and she was so knowledeable about the area and made delicious choices for us. We liked the indoor and outdoor markets so much we went back on our own later in the week to make purchases.
This was the most memorable little tour of our entire Paris trip. In spite of dreary weather, we enjoyed the walk. The little shops were places we never would have found on our own. Food sampling was fun and educational. Tour guide was top notch. Highly recommend this tour if you do nothing else....
We really enjoyed this tour. The guide was very helpful and interesting and had heaps of knowledge about the area. The tastings were great especially the croissants which were the best we'd ever tried. Would definitely recommend.
Our guide, Alexandra, was personal and very knowledgable. She taught us a lot about architecture, as well as giving us a great introduction to the Bastille market. Thoroughly enjoyable. I would recommend it.
This small group tour is wonderfull. I would recommend it to all who are interested in local French grocery shopping.
The tour was delicious! The tour guide was very knowledgeable about both food and antiques. We really enjoyed the guides personality. She was wonderful. We brought a shopping cart, which was a great idea, because we went home overflowing with fresh bread, fruit, cheeses and meats.
