We really enjoyed this experience. Alexandra, our guide, was so knowledgeable, interesting and engaged. She took us on a lovely walk through Montmartre with stops at a few cafes for wine tasting at the first we also had a cheese plate and at the second some charcuterie. We learned a lot about the area, the people and about Paris in general. The pace of the tour was also perfect. This was a great way to start our Paris vacation!
Our tour guide was so interesting, giving us a really great insight into the history of Montmatre as well as the wine and food we tasted. She took us to parts of Montmarte we would never have know the history and intrigue of had we not been with her. She really made this tour special.
Excellent guide and thoroughly enjoyable experience. Exactly right pace. Wine and cheese came at opportune times. Plenty of time to see everything. Very knowledgeable guide.
Alexandra was tres magnifique!!!. She was knowledgeable, charming and fun. The area we visited held so many endearing little secrets that we would never have found without her. She learned of our love of the movie Amelie and she took us to many of the scenes where it was filmed. Fun wine and food on a perfect Paris spring day. Recommended without reservations and most highly!! Ask for Alexandra.
Great tour and a pleasant walk through Montmartre. The guide we had was excellent and very knowledgeable about the area. While Montmartre is hilly the walk was not arduous.
I would highly recommend this tour. We learned a lot about the area and had some nice wine and cheese.
I have been to Paris and Montmartre 4 times and never saw the sites I saw on this trip, the casual tour and cheese and wine stops were special. But most of all as a painter seeing where all the famous artists lived and worked before becoming famous was special. The tour guide ( i wish i could remember her name ) was perfect took time to explain and didn't rush when we wanted to take pictures.
We had a lot of fun on this tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant. The visit was fun and took just the right amount of time. We would recommend this,
Loved Montmartre...the tour was relaxing and informative. Our guide, Alex, was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had a very private group of four which made it feel even more like a familiar walk through the old neighborhood with friends.
Highly recommend this tour. Our guide was very knowledgable about the area and was very pleasant even though we asked her tons of questions. The area was quite different from mainstream Paris. You will not regret taking this tour.
Loved our guide and the personal nature of the tour. Only 3 couples and so all everything was lovely. Would recommend this tour to anyone going to Paris.
We were pleased to have, as requested, a French guide. This 'Parisienne' not only provided us with interesting information, she was also happy to answer our questions about the lifestyles of Parisians. Her easy pace made it easy for all of us to walk up to Montmartre and the Basilique. We enjoyed the wine and food tastings also.
Beautiful and rich with a history, worth going and visit the surroundings. Lots of arts and architectural being so different from centre Paris.
This was a very nice tour of Montmartre. There were only three of us on the tour, and our guide was very knowledgeable and gracious. It was a great way to get a good feel for the Montmartre area.
The tour was fantastic - very personal service (no more than 6-8 in any group), good humour, excellent knowledge of the area and some great cheese and wine along the way.
I'm not always a big fan of tours. This one is different. Our guide was extremely knowledgable and very interesting. What made this great was our guide as well as wine!
This was a great way to spend an afternoon and learn about the history of the Montmartre Quarter of France. Our guide was delightful and made us all feel like friends. Great Tour.
Found it very hard to find starting point for this tour as the instructions on the book were not accurate. Would also have helped if the tour guide had some sort of recognisable uniform or sign that we could look for. There was only 4 people on the tour itself so we had plenty of time for questions and it was easy to get us around. It would have been good to have some time to ourselves on the tour to purchase souvenirs as we went rather than at the end having to double back.
Guide was knowledgeable and informative. We had two stops for wine which was more than enough. The story of Montmartre is really about the artists, the people. Be ready to walk up the hill. It is not as difficult with the path she chose.
The walk up the 180+ steps from the Metro to where the tour met gave me enough exercise and also gave me a preview of artwork. Montmartre was exquisite. Found our guide very personable and knowledgeable. The small size of the tour (6 of us) increased the enjoyment.
This was a great tour. The tour leader was very informed and professional.
It was raining and it was very cold to be walking around for that day but after our first stop in a tiny restaurant for the wine and cheese, it was all worth it. The tour guide was very informative about the history of Montmartre and we despite the weather, this tour was worth it.
The church itself was beautiful. It was a lot of walking up and down hills which I didn't like. Wine tasting was okay.
The highlight of this tour was the very personable guide and stops at two Bistro's for refreshments. If you are taking this tour in order to get a glimpse of how the artists once lived, worked and played in this area, it will not address that desire since the area has changed and their haunts are not on the tour.
