Great Trip. Great guide. Fascinating. Nice to skip the queue also.
Our guide was amazing. Extremely knowledgeable. Only comment is who runs this should allow tour groups in before or after the general public. Too many people were joining our group that didn't pay.
This was incredible! The guide was full of information. A must see for Paris!
So pleased we decided to have a Viator guided tour through the Catacombs. The advantage of a guide is you are given the history and significance of the Catacombs. Whilst we were being guided through this amazing piece of history we noticed other tourists whilst still seeing the Catacombs did not have the advantage of hearing the significance of certain aspects of this amazing place. I would not hesitate in recommending a Viator tour for this reason. Thank you David for sharing your knowledge with us.

This was an amazing tour! Our tour guide, Lou, was fantastic (and a huge hit with our young teenage children!). He was a lovely person, extremely knowledgeable about the catacombs and, as far as we were concerned, an essential ingredient to our tour!
The tour itself is really worth doing especially if you like something a bit different. Not for those who are claustrophobic, it made my 15 yr old daughter a bit anxious. We thought lining up at 8:30 a bit annoying, and could have lined up at the same time without a guide, as there is no skip the line here, first in gets the tix and children are free. Having said that our guide was very friendly but had to refer to her notes at times.
Great tour, was better than expected. I thought we would go down some steps into a room and look around, but alas - 30 metres under Paris and 3 kms of tunnels we explored. It was macabre, but a must do when in Paris.
This was a great, small tour. Lots of fun anecdotes about the catacombs and skipping the line is HUGE. When our guide went to pay for us all, the credit card machine was broken, so he ran at mach speed to withdraw cash and get us back on track within just a couple minutes.
WITHOUT a guide, the catacombs would have been a bunch of skulls and bones without any particular context after a multi-hour wait in line. WITH a guide, we got a great experience with a lot of historical understanding and a very short wait (we even had time to go to a cafe for a quick breakfast after we initially checked in).
Our tour guide, Luke was there before we were the morning of and had the yellow umbrella. He was very friendly and eager to show us what we came to see. He was very knowledgeable and his English was excellent. He took his time getting us into the burial grounds and allowed others not with the tour to pass so that he could explain different areas and dates along the way. It was a very good tour and I would definitely recommend.
