Tour guide was great and we enjoyed the tour very much. Very interesting and beautiful opera house.
So much history.
It was amazing to walk through the Opera Garnier with a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. The building was incredibly beautiful, and the stories made it come alive. We even saw the suite reserved for the Phantom of the Opera, and learned about the cistern beneath the building. I would highly recommend this tour.
Probably our most favourite trip in Paris. An unexpected beautiful building shown to our small group by a knowledgeable and often humorous guide. We were able to view the auditorium and learn the history of the theatre. It is an amazing building!
MELODY United States of ...
It is opulent and magnificent. Possibly the most incredible opera house in the world. It took 14 years to build and went through an emperor and 3 kings before it was finished. A visual and historical treat.
Great! A must see in Paris. Blown away. A stand alone museum. Don't miss it.
Excellent experience, the tour guide was very passionate about the opera house and her enthusiasm was contagious. Gorgeous building , fabulous experience would definetly recommend this tour.
Even. With a rain downpour sprouted, it was wonderful. Guide was very good.
The Opera House is beautiful! Our tour guide was funny and informative. She told us background stories and we saw all of the highlights. I am looking forward to returning to Paris!
Perfect tour, just the right sized group and length. Great idea to go after hours as you get a more personal experience with the venue. Very knowledgeable tour guide, would highly recommend.
Unfortunately, we missed our tour because our hotel gave us the wrong directions to walk to the Opera. I gave the tour 5 stars because the grandeur of the Opera house, itself, is worth the tour alone and our tardiness was not the fault of the tour or Viator.
I had taken this tour last year, booking directly with the Opera Garnier, and enjoyed it so much that I wanted my husband to experience it. It was even better this time! Our guide brought her iPad to share pictures which added to our understanding of this incredible place- great tour!
We just loved this! I especially loved the wireless earpiece so I could hear the tour guide clearly, but still slag back a step and take pictures without missing a thing. Don't miss this tour if you are in Paris! Riveting!
Excellent backstage tour with our English speaking guide Edith. Definately would recommed this tour.
After going to Paris 7 times, I finally did a tour of Opera Garnier. We chose the afterhours tour so we could make the most of our day. It was wonderful. An amazing impressive building. Everyone should do a tour of Opera Garnier it is similar to Versailles.
I would recommend taking the tour, versus doing it on your own, to gain information.
I also enjoyed hearing the tour guides voice
I LOVED this tour!! I took this tour on my second visit to Paris. Last year I visited Versailles Palace and it was beautiful, but I honestly think that Palais Garnier is MORE beautiful than Versailles!!! On the inside at least. I would highly recommend this tour, it was well worth the money, and I liked hearing the stories and a little history about the building's past. My group got to go into the auditorium and sit in the seats that cost about 250-300 Euros to see a show. Definitely a highlight, but the best part is the grand foyer. So much better than the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles. Plus there's less people in your photos! I also liked that we were free to go back and walk through all the rooms by ourselves after our tour to get any extra photos as I always have my camera out. I walked back through the grand foyer and out onto the balcony where you could see The Louvre at the end of the avenue! I would rate this ten stars if I could.
Toured this on my 2nd visit to Paris. But, if you are going on your 1st visit to Paris, don't miss this, with a guided tour, of course!
