The excursion was nice, the people in our minivan were fun to talk to, and our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.

It was worth doing basically because we were picked up at our hotel as we did not plan on taking public transportation. We picked up other people from their hotels which cut our time at Versailles short. I wish we had more time to explore the palace as it so big and crowded. We asked our guide to drop us off by Notre Dame.

The Palace and the grounds are something to see. The only bad thing was the weather. When I went on the tour, it was overcast and rainy.

It really wasn't much of a tour. It was a free plan. The van driver basically picked us up from our meeting point, and dropped us off at the Versailles Palace. Then she told us we would do the tour of the palace ourselves and we would meet her on the other side of the huge property in 2.5 hours. That's it. Some tour! Also keep in mind that unless you belong in a private tour that guides you inside the palace, you will not be allowed to enter every room. We were not allowed to enter the chapel room.

Loved the guide, she was great. I'm unhappy because the price did not include the guide actually taking us through the apartments and explaining the significance of each room. What's the point of having a guide if they don't actually "guide" you through the site you are visiting. Also, your website indicated that we would skip the long lines into Versailles, not true at all. There is no separate line from the main line, which we had to wait on.
