It was amazing!! Loved it! The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. The palace is stunning, the gardens were breathtaking and the whole experience was just fantastic!
The tour was excellent! It was an intimate group which made it easy for the tour guide to give us more details and attention. Our guide Rosanna was wonderful - she was articulate, knowledgeable, with passion for her job and has fantastic people skills. She also really looked after us, which was good especially since the venue was very crowded. We had a great day and would highly recommend this tour to anyone!
Michelle was the best tour guide of our entire trip. Suck a wealth of knowledge. Even with the massive crowds, she kept us organized and focused. Very professional tour and exceptional guide. Great tour.
We were part of a group of 6. The excellent guide met us as promised at the address and, using a microphone speaker system, provided a commentary on the way to Versailles which was very helpful in understanding French history and the place of Versailles in that historic time. We got to the palace fairly early, avoiding some of the crowding at later times, skipped the queue, and had a good tour of the palace. We then had about an hour to wander the gardens and catch the fountain/music show. We were dropped off at Dalloyau for lunch. While rather costly, the food was great and it was an interesting and enjoyable experience.

Our tour guide was great. The trip went smoothly and at our pace. I would recommend this tour without reservations. Jean from Texas
Great time although don't go on a Tuesday when several of the museums are closed. Worth the value!
Loved it! Smaller bus and group which gave us a frendly experience. Tour company was great.
The half day tour works if you have limited time and want to get a feel for the place, but if I was to do it again, I would want to spend much more time inside and outside. The guide was really good and kept us informed and moving.
We thought we were getting the Marie-Antoinette Estate Tour plus the meal but we did not get this (probably didn't click on the right voucher) but this was okay as the bus dropped us off at the Arch de Triumph and we spent time there and walking around that area. We caught the bus at the tour office and enjoyed a leisurely drive to Versaille. There were about 8 people on our tour. Prior to driving to the Palace, the bus took us around the grounds (they are absolutely beautiful) and we were able to get off the bus at the lake and enjoy the scenery. When we got ready to go back to the bus, my friend and I stopped so she could get a scenic picture of an old bench under a tree. She snapped the picture and we started walking to the bus, and the bus started to leave. We were yelling and screaming for it to stop, but unfortunately they couldn't hear us. Fortunately, my friend had a whistle and when she blew it, one of the guys on the back of the bus heard it and the bus driver stopped. The tour guide made a count from then on. But we got up to the palace, were able to go right in, the tour guide was good at keeping us together and finding spaces in the rooms that she could talk to all of us and then allowing us to edge forward to get good views of the rooms. After the tour we were able to go to the gift shop and the gardens which are worth seeing. We didn't think the fountains would be running and were pleasantly surprised to see that they were flowing. One thing, if you go, you might want to check. Others in our group went on the afternoon tour because they heard the fountains would be flowing; however, after they finished the palace tour, they were disappointed that the gardens were roped off because the staff was setting up for the fireworks show that evening. They were unable to see the gardens or the fountains. Fountains run on certain days of the week, so travelers should check the schedules if this is something they want to see.
Booking tours and having a tour guide to show you around is probably one of the best things you can do when traveling. This was an excellent tour, great guide and very comfortable day-trip.
Maeve - thanks for a fun, insightful and great day. You had the youngest to the oldest enthralled and enjoying themselves from the beginning. The small bus tour made it comfortable and the skip the line tickets are worth gold. The ability to hear you inside the craziness of the castle with the earpiece really helped our understanding without the stress. Great half day out and very enjoyable. Thank you!
