Like the smaller group. Tour guide was very knowledgeable. The specially priced lunch option at Dalloyau was a bonus.
Tour and Tour Guide was great, went out of her way to tell us stories that we could remember and not just a bunch of Dates. What can you say about the Palace a Must see!
The guide was amazing. It is so much more enjoyable to hear the history from a French person,. The group was small and the small bus was open air on our return to Paris.
Great English speaking guide. We had trouble getting from our hotel to the meeting point because we were trying to navigate the Metro. The bus driver called me on my cell to see where exactly we were located (by chance we were only a block a way). He and the guide were kind enough to wait for us. This made for a great start of the day. Versailles is beautiful as is the palace and its gardens. There is a lot more to see in Versailles than can be seen in a half day trip, but we got a wonderful overview.
This trip was well worth doing and I would recommend it to anyone. We had the best tour guide down to earth with loads of information that was up to date and relevant to us. We were very fortunate as for that particular trip there was only the two of us and we felt very special and there was not stress on us at all. The only thing I will do is that Next time I will make sure I do the whole day so that I can go to all areas of Versailles and hopefully more around Marie-Antoinette estate We really loved every minute of it and the staff were top rate - full marks
I am glad we book this trip to Versailles. The tour group only consist of my family of 4 and 2 others from Australia. It suit us well because when we arrived at Versailles, there was a huge crowd queuing to enter the palace. The tour guide Vincent did an excellent job. Vincent is knowledgeable and he spoke English well so we were able to understand him. Overall, we were pretty happy with this trip. Well worth the price we paid for.
This was a great tour to Versailles. We liked the knowledge of our guide Gwen. She was able to explain all the different areas within the palace. She also took us and showed the country home and we drove by the village that Mary Antoinette built. Overall the experience was great. We were hoping we could see the village inside but maybe we will do that the next time.
The pickup and drop off was also great and a fun experience.
Enjoyed our tour guide, the convenience of the transportation and of course the majesty of Versailles.
Disappointed in seeing the same things as everyone else who didn't pay as much as we did. We just were driven past the other sites on the property.
In fact, everything was smooth until the time we needed to enter the Palace. Our guide had problem, as the guard said our tickets couldn't be used.
After waiting for about 20 minutes, finally we could enter the Palace. As it was Sunday, the Palace was very crowded inside. But, thanks to our Guide, she could manage to find the best place for us to give explanation in every place of the King and Queen's apartment, as well as the Hall of Mirror.
But then, as it was raining after we went out from the Palace, it was very horrible as we couldn't walk through the garden. So, most of the member decided to just stay inside the car, and return very early than what it should be.
