Versailles Small Group Day Trip from Paris

On both the half-day and full-day tours you'll also be able to wander around the garden's groves and pools. If you visit Versailles on a Saturday or Sunday during April to October, you'll can see the famous fountain show in the gardens. The display is accompanied by music composed at the time of Louis XIV's court.

Choose a morning or afternoon small group half-day tour to Versailles, with the remainder of the day free for you to enjoy in Paris. You'll receive commentary on the way and expert advice from your expert tour guide to help you plan your time at the famous palace created by Louis XIV, known as the Sun King.

Along with the sumptuous royal chambers, you will also have the opportunity to see Versailles' renowned gardens and magnificent fountain show (seasonal). Your tour of the Palace of Versailles includes free time for you to explore Louis XIV's fabulous suite of rooms, the grand Hall of Mirrors and the apartments of the Dauphin and Dauphine. You will also be able to explore the famous palace gardens, with their exterior view of the Grand Trianon.

Full-day Tour:
Your leisurely, personalized full-day tour includes the Great Royal Apartments of Versailles plus the palace gardens, spectacular fountain show (seasonal), Marie Antoinette's farm-style hamlet and the Grand Trianon.

You'll also enjoy lunch served in La Flotille restaurant in the Palace Park facing Versailles' Grand Canal. Your small group tour of Versailles begins with a guided tour of the Royal Apartments, Hall of Mirrors, Queen’s Bedroom and the Gallery of Battles, where an audio-guide is available in eight languages.

After lunch overlooking Versailles' Grand Canal, it's time to explore the palace gardens and take a visit to the Queen's Hamlet, where Marie-Antoinette played at being a shepherdess in the 1780s. You'll then take a guided tour of the Grand Trianon, a mini palace where Louis XV and Louis XVI liked to lead a quiet life outside the court of Versailles.
