Took the half a day tour. I loved Versailles. My husband had enough after 4 hours. It's a matter of taste, we didn't have time to see the gardens, you need the whole day for that. Castle was under some facade renovations. You can take pictures inside. The independent tour is perfect for going at your own pace and appreciating all the paintings, I especially loved the artwork on those high ceilings. Being July 2008 it was VERY crowded, lots of background noise on the camera. Even with all of that I would certainly go back to Versailles. As for organisation, very well organised, I would definitely use Viator again.

Guide gave a nice intro. Versailles is very busy so I would recommend staying longer to see more of the gardens. Great trip but worth taking the longer one.

There was not enough time overall, but the tour was cheap and the sights were amazing.

We were not aware that we would have to queue for SO long to enter the castle, although once inside, it was spectacular. Finding the correct exit to the bus park was also a mystery with NO English speaking staff on hand to assist!

A coach drops you off and picks you up. We were ready to leave an hour before the coach came. We found it very boring.
