We only had 2 hours time for this afternoon tour, and so I was glad I chose to be independent rather than tethered to a guide. I only wish I had known about the electric car and train sooner, so I could further enjoy the extensive grounds, rather than have to quickly race back to meet our tour bus, which was late. The independent tour still allows people to listen to headsets with quite a lot of information about each room. So, with my limited time, I'm grateful this is the tour I chose.

Tour guides were a bit insensitive regarding my minor physical limitations that required me to sit downstairs on the bus. They seemed more concerned with their guided tour group people. We also did not have nearly enough time to see Versailles properly on this tour. I would recommend people take a taxi to Versailles and spend as much time as they need - this tour only provided a bus to transport us. Not worth the cost!
