The driver/tour guide was very knowledgeable. The only negative was the long bathroom lines. It wasted 30 minutes of the trip. We never saw the gardens except from the windows.

It was wonderful. We were picked up on time and our driver was good about telling what we were seeing on the way. We enjoyed to two people who traveled with us and our trip back to Paris was good too.

What a fantastice experience! Our driver/guide gave us the trip of a lifetime. She picked us up at the hotel right on time and whisked us away to the palace. She answered every question with enthusiasm and flare. We had time to explore parts on our own, and she was right there to continue with more information when she said she would. We moved the van around to the backside of the grounds so we didn't have to walk all the way back. This was one of the best guided tours that we have ever been on, and we would recommend this to anyone.

Absolutely loved it! Very helpful that when booking there were the details about the fountains in the gardens being functional on weekends only. Once again very well organized and pleasant driver.

Excellent opportunity to see so much of Versailles. We have been to Versailles in the past but could never see it all. The chateau and gardens are vast so it was great to have the van. We were able to visit Marie Antoinette's theater and farm as well. Our guide was very friendly, funny and full of information.

The Guide was brilliant, because of the heat we could have done with extra time to see the gardens but then it was during the heat wave.

Our guide did an incredible job especially since English was his second language. He was very informative and made the whole trip a great pleasure. We were picked up at the time given. The vehicle was roomy and comfortable. The luncheon was good and we had lots of time to enjoy it.

Our tour guide was punctual and well informed, had a great sense of humor and was well organized. Versailles is so huge that it could have been overwhelming, but we learned a great deal and enjoyed the tour and lunch. Highly recommend it! Only way to go!

We would definitely recommend this tour. The transportation was convenient and very comfortable. Our guide was kind, pleasant and entertaining, as well as very knowledgeable and accommodating. If possible, we would suggest the full day tour; the palace is beautiful and very interesting, and the palace gardens and grounds are exquisite and so vast that just a peek could never do them justice, especially in the spring. The lunch exceeded our expectations, and the small group made the meal as well as the whole experience all the more enjoyable.
It was somewhat difficult to get in touch over the phone with the tour operator as required to reconfirm. We finally had our concierge make the call for us. The crowds are very, very large, making touring the rooms almost a test of one's endurance, and there is no organized queue to enter the palace, which makes for some unruly, impatient people clamoring to get in. The palace staff were unhelpful and, at times, not very pleasant. Few things are translated into English that are translated into many other languages, making the tour guide more of a necessity than a luxury, and the bathroom facilities are truly inadequate. None of this is in Viator's control, and overall we feel confident in recommending this tour.
This tour is a must. The castle is like any other - old, but has some great rooms like the mirror room. However, the gardens are beyond words. The garden is so grand you can get lost or easily spend a whole day there. I recommend you take a snack and enjoy it on the lawn. It's breathtaking!
