We both enjoyed our tour very much. Our tour guide was pleasant and knowledgable. We did the entire day and we both would recommend it over the half day. Our lunch was relaxing and gave us a chance to socialize with our other tour members. Delightfully, the food was very good.
Belen was a most outstanding guide for us! Our tour of the Louvre and Orsay museums were the high point of our 3 week trip. A most memorable experience! Thanks again -
For those never having previously been to Versailles this was a wonderful tour. The guide was kind and very informative. Having been there four times previous, I got to see far more on this specific tour than any other. I highly recommend the tour and the guide.
Knowing the castle and principal gardens its a good experience. The tour through the Trianons although a nice place to be, I would have prefer using that time to go to Giverny which is nearby to see the gardens that inspired Claude Monet's paintings.
Eye opening opulence and grandeur . You need a full second day to see all the gardens and grounds.
Pleasant and knowledgable guide gave great insight to history and routine of palace and staff.
This was an amazing tour. I wouldn't change anything about it. There is a of walking. The tour itself is over 4 miles. skipping the lines was wonderful because they were extremely long. The lunch was good, it could have been more choices as the food in the restaurant all looked good. There really in know time to buy souvenirs during the tour. So, I think a few minutes added for that. The coach ride was nice and quick.
Excellent, well managed tour from start to finish. Guides were extremely friendly with great sense of humour. You really need the full day tour - a half day tour would not be anywhere near enough! The restaurant had deilcious food and the transportation was in a high quality coach. Of course, in Winter the fountains aren't in operation and the gardens aren't at their best, however you still need plenty of time to see everything and enjoy the grandness of Versailles. Highly recommend!
Big day full of LOTS of information. Our tour guide new her stuff!!! She was lovely. This place is gorgeous.
Versailles is beautiful, loved the grounds. So glad we took this trip.
Sabine was a wonderful guide. The day was absolutely worth every penny. The full day tour gave me a real sense of the whole of the Versailles palaces- and the lunch in the old stables was to die for! Met some lovely people there too. Truly felt I was walking in the ghostly steps of Marie Antoinette! A must do if you are visiting Paris.
i'm a huge fan of French history and was super excited for this tour. It met all of my expectations! We covered most of Versailles (although I feel you could definitely spend 2 days there). Our guide was very informative. I also felt the tour was worth it because the crowds are huge and it was nice to hear what the guide had to say rather than peering over heads to read signs. Overall, awesome tour!
This tour included everything I wanted to see! So glad we saw the Trianons and hameau. Our tour guide was very informative. We were very glad to have a relaxing bus ride home after a long touring day, especially given the drizzly weather and heavy Parisian traffic. Just about a perfect day.
This tour was simply great. It is impossible to see Versailles in less than a day, so I would not even bother with a half-day tour. Our guide, Pascale, was very knowledgeable, her English was perfect, and I just had a terrific time. I learned so much about the kings and French history in general. The fountain show was beautiful. The tour does involve quite a bit of walking, so wear comfortable shoes!
The tour is a bit long and tiring, but is absolutely worth it. The guide was really knowledgeable and witty, showed us the highlights of Versailles and Marie Antoinette's appartments and the village she had built, which was my favourite part. Plus, you get to lunch with the other tourists and we met some pretty interesting people on the way.
While extremely long with lots of walking, our tour to Versailles was excellent. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. The highlight of the tour was Marie Antoinette's hamlet, only seen on a full day tour. It was a wonderful lesson in history. I do think however that the tour itself could have been cut by about an hour or more as it required a great deal of walking. The lunch included was delightful.
