This tour was the highlight of my trip to Paris. Our tour guide, Dan, was amazing. He provided humorous and interesting historical context throughout the tour. He managed to keep our diverse group on time throughout the day and kept us sufficiently entertained. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.
This 6 tour was actually a 9 hour day. Well worth the price. I haven't rode a bike in years and this was very enjoyable. We rode throughout the grounds; had a picnic. After ride, guide walked us to tour palace on our own. I wasn't prepared for the swarm of people so didn't enjoy inside.
This amazing trip was the highlight of our time on Paris and the ONLY way that I would recommend to visit Versailles.
Super, super tour! Viator was very accommodating since we wanted to meet the tour in Versailles rather than Paris. Our guide Daniel was great, good sense of humor, helpful and nice to everyone. He even carried our baguettes so nobody could steal our lunch while visiting the Petit Trianon! Loved it!
Great tour and great tour guide, William. Would highly recommend and skipping the line at the Palace of Versailles was priceless
Declan was an awesome guide! The bike tour gave us the opportunity to see so much more than just the palace.
Awesome tour!! Going to the markets and the picnic lunch were amazing!! Only good way to see Versailles.
Very well organised and great fun. Our guide was brilliant. I would definitely recommend this to anyone going to paris.
Steve was fabulous, and you could tell he was passionate about what he does. Herding a group of 20 is no small feat through the city transit either. He was attentive, very knowledgeable and did a great job of presenting everything during our tour. A fun day and best way to see these grounds!
My daughter and I loved this tour. We so enjoyed shopping for our French picnic and leaning about the history of Versaille. William our guide was knowledgeable, fun, and full of energy. I highly recommend this trip to visitors. PS You need to be in decent physical shape so you don't slow down others on the tour.
It was one of the best experiences we had during the whole vacation. Our tour guide, Claudia, was the best
Great highlight of a 10-day trip in England and France. Our tour guide, Steve, used his knowledge, interpersonal skills, sense of humor and picnic-preparedness to make a memorable Sunday for a group of 20, ranging from 15 to 70. We were especially fortunate to be the first group to depart 1 of 8 on that July Sunday, so we got a nice early start on the train and in the parks.
Going to the market and riding on the Versailles grounds and having a picnic with a view of the palace were wonderful experiences. The palace was jammed with tourists as indicated by others on a July Sunday, but the skip-the-line access allowed us to minimize time in the crowds and move through to the gardens where Sunday brought the bonus of fountains operating throughout the gardens, with classical music playing from speakers which was fun, if not high-fidelity.
I took this tour with my 15-year-old granddaughter. Being 66, I wondered if the ride would be too strenuous, but the tour was broken into lots of small segments, broken up by descriptions of the landscape, picnic, etc. It was very doable and I would recommend it to anyone in decent shape who wants a special experience alone or with friends and family.
We cannot say enough great things about this tour. It was the highlight of our trip. Valentine was a wonderful guide, experienced in French history and great cheese. We had some challenges with our 5 year old and her ability to keep up with the group and he offered to take her on his bike. In the end we were able to sort it out with our group and make some great friends in the process. This tour was the absolute best and the highlight of our entire European vacation.
Even though we were unfortunate enough to snag a bad weather day, the tour of Versaille by bike is not to be missed. Going to the markets to buy our own produce for the picnic lunch, including a premium wine gave you a feel for the town itself. Our tour guide Paddy was fantastic, providing such great insights into the town, the palace and the various Kings/Queens of a particular time in French history. The picnic in the grounds was by far the best part, and that's despite the rain! Great work guys, we'd do it again!

Was fun riding a bicycle around the gardens of Versailles. Before we even started on our bike ride, we stopped at the local Farmers Market and purchased items for a picnic. We then biked through the streets and into the Versailles gardens. After biking for awhile, we stopped along the Grand Canal and had our picnic and afterwards, toured the Palace of Versailles with the other 50 million folks. Only complaint was how crowed the Palace was. Still was lot's of fun!
Excellent. I loved the setup, with the picnic in the gardens, prior to visiting the palace. Our guide was knowledgeable and accommodating. I would suggest having the bikes ready for pick up in Versailles. It took a while until they brought them out and equipped them with baskets. Other than that, a really pleasant trip and overall day.
Best tour ever!! Saw so much. Our guide Robin was wonderful...really made the day. Her knowledge, enthusiasm and wit was very refreshing. Picnic lunch was great. Highly recommend.
We really enjoyed the tour, our guide "declan" was informative, friendly, and had good sense of humor. The shopping at the Village market place was an amazing experience and the food was delicious. The bicycle was smooth and easy to ride. Details were well thought of.
What a great experience! We really enjoyed touring the gardens via a bike and enjoying a picnic lunch along the water which we had purposed earlier at the market. We could have just spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing there! Our tour guide was interested in educating on us the history in a fun way and providing us the opportunity to enjoy the spectacular grounds. The chateau was a little disappointing as the crowds were very large and people were more interested in getting pictures then the experience. Overall, a great tour!
Daniele was a great tour guide and we really enjoyed the behind the scenes look at the gardens which only a bike tour could provide. Highly recommended!
I rate this tour as one of the best things I did on vacation. Although we were unable to stay with the group I wanted to add my son and his girlfriend but the outfit couldn't accommodate the 2 extra people we went on our own and had the same experience, renting our bikes on-site. This place is amazing! Picnic in the Gardens of Versailles, cycle around the lush landscaping and enjoy a piece of country-side in Paris.
The tour and guide were great. This is a full day tour. Be sure to bring water.
We enjoyed this tour immensely. This was one of our most memorable experiences during our 4-city trip in Europe. What made it stand out was our tour guide, Fraser, who was above what you would normally expect from a tour guide. He was funny, entertaining and warm. You feel like you're biking with a friend, instead of being part of a tour. He peppered his interpretation of history with pop culture analogies, making it interesting even to our 10-year old.
