Thoroughly enjoyable. Rode through the castle grounds like the royal hunting party! Beauitful scenery and tranquility for the soul.
Our guide Alexandria was amazing. She took care of all the riders, gave us tips on the best market stalls, told us vivid stories of the Kings and Queens. A must!
apart from the rain we had a great day! the guide, was amazing. loved him!
Biking around the groups of Versailles was a great way to spend a day! We began by shopping at a local market for picnic supplies, a highlight of the trip. After biking and touring the property, we enjoyed a picnic alongside the canal. The inside of the palace was quite crowded, but certainly worth a visit. Dan was a fabulous guide and made the day fun as well as informative. I highly recommend this tour!
Thid tour was excellent out guide was excellent thd markets were s great highlight would definitely recommend it
We had a great day biking around Versailles with our guide Drew. The logistics were easy and made the day enjoyable since there was no stress. Drew made sure everyone was comfortable and having a great time throughout the whole course of the day. The only thing Drew couldnt do was change the weather, which was an overcast 45 degrees on the day of our tour. Despite being a Floridian and feeling like a frozen snowman the entire day, we had a great time. It was really fun going to the market and picking up items for our lunch by the Grand Canal. Drew gave us a good overview of the period of history around Versailles so when we went into the palace we already had a good understanding of what we were seeing, which was helpful since the audio guide wasnt very good.
If one thing could be improved it would be bringing the guide inside for a tour instead of using the audio guide. Other than that we had a great day and would recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in mixing up a normal day at the museum.
The bicycle tour was the best way to see Versailles. We stopped at the market for provisions for our picnic and then proceeded through the grounds, palaces, and around the canals if Versailles. We stopped at Marie Antoinettes Hamlein and also at the palaces of the mistresses.
The tour operator was very good. His knowledge of French history excellent and English was perfect (American). He presented the information in a way that really got you into the story. This is a must for anyone going to Paris.
Very, very good. Well paced mix of transport, food shopping and the jawdroppingly beautiful Versailles. Top day out!!!
This is by far, one of the best trips we had thru viator..Big thanks and special mention of our tour guide Dan, whose funny pun laden anecdotes kept us thru the gardens...not to forget the lovely picnic..a must do, if you have a day to spare!
We loved this tour and can't imagine doing Versailles any other way. The guide was very relaxed but professional and was a joy to spend the day with. The market and lunch was a highlight!
Both my husband and I had a wonderful day we started with shopping for lunch at the market place, yummy food, our tour leader Anna was charming and so knowledgeable, the cycling wasn't strenuous and we saw much more of the Palace by riding around the pathways and gardens. Enjoyed! Bob and Gail NSW Australia
By far, my most fun day in Paris!
Our "Wolf Pack" leader, Anna, was knowledgable and fantastic. Owoooo!
Market shopping and picnic by the grand canal was a great experience. The amount of riding (approximate 10 miles)was manageable and lot of fun. Highly recommended.
Stunning! Our guide Dan was excellent - informative and entertaining at the same time. And we saw so much more of Versailles and it's grounds on a bicycle...picnic by the water with a view of the palace a highlight! An experience to be repeated when next in Paris
This was a fantastic excursion. Our guide, Anya, was outstanding and brought the history to life. The cycling around the grounds of Versailles was great, as was the picnic on the edge of the Grand Canal. In fact we so enjoyed the first part of the day the palace was a slight disappointment, owing to the crowds, even for late October. We thoroughly recommend this trip.
Our tour guide Johnny was very friendly and funny. We had very interesting tidbits about the gardens and the areas we explored. The highlight of the trip for me was the market. It was full, busy and full of great looking food. Johnny made some food recommendations. Me and my friends bought the comte cheese that he recommended and it was delicious!
Our group had different level of skills and experience riding the bikes, but our guide was very patient and attentive to all group members. Versailles is very, very big and if you are up for it; I strongly recommend to go on a bike tour. You will not regret it. It is a lot of fun.
I love to learn new things when I travel and was very glad that we had a tour guide like Johnny. If I get to go back I would to the bike tour all over again.
Loved this tour, saw so much more of the gardens than walking. The marketplace was interesting and our picnic was a great idea - beautiful local food and wine. Would recommend this tour!
The trip was wonderful, the highlight of my three days. We were a family of seven, including a baby (perfectly fitted into his "Sun King Wagon"). Our guide was informative and kept the attention of the kids in the group. The day was sensational, the market great, the picnic a dream location. Jane (Melbourne)
My 13 year old son and I travelled to London and Paris on a two weeks, jammed packed holiday but the VERSAILLES BIKE TOUR was THE highlight of our holiday.
We both had so much fun and learnt a lot.
Our tour guide MIKE was superb and so knowledgable. He gave me a refreshingly different perspective on my favourite part of history!
If there is one thing you must do its this tour.
This was the highlight of our trip. Out guide was very fun and provided insights. Love the local market to pick up our lunch.
