Even though we were unfortunate enough to snag a bad weather day, the tour of Versaille by bike is not to be missed. Going to the markets to buy our own produce for the picnic lunch, including a premium wine gave you a feel for the town itself. Our tour guide Paddy was fantastic, providing such great insights into the town, the palace and the various Kings/Queens of a particular time in French history. The picnic in the grounds was by far the best part, and that's despite the rain! Great work guys, we'd do it again!

Was fun riding a bicycle around the gardens of Versailles. Before we even started on our bike ride, we stopped at the local Farmers Market and purchased items for a picnic. We then biked through the streets and into the Versailles gardens. After biking for awhile, we stopped along the Grand Canal and had our picnic and afterwards, toured the Palace of Versailles with the other 50 million folks. Only complaint was how crowed the Palace was. Still was lot's of fun!
Great highlight of a 10-day trip in England and France. Our tour guide, Steve, used his knowledge, interpersonal skills, sense of humor and picnic-preparedness to make a memorable Sunday for a group of 20, ranging from 15 to 70. We were especially fortunate to be the first group to depart 1 of 8 on that July Sunday, so we got a nice early start on the train and in the parks.
Going to the market and riding on the Versailles grounds and having a picnic with a view of the palace were wonderful experiences. The palace was jammed with tourists as indicated by others on a July Sunday, but the skip-the-line access allowed us to minimize time in the crowds and move through to the gardens where Sunday brought the bonus of fountains operating throughout the gardens, with classical music playing from speakers which was fun, if not high-fidelity.
I took this tour with my 15-year-old granddaughter. Being 66, I wondered if the ride would be too strenuous, but the tour was broken into lots of small segments, broken up by descriptions of the landscape, picnic, etc. It was very doable and I would recommend it to anyone in decent shape who wants a special experience alone or with friends and family.
We cannot say enough great things about this tour. It was the highlight of our trip. Valentine was a wonderful guide, experienced in French history and great cheese. We had some challenges with our 5 year old and her ability to keep up with the group and he offered to take her on his bike. In the end we were able to sort it out with our group and make some great friends in the process. This tour was the absolute best and the highlight of our entire European vacation.
Excellent. I loved the setup, with the picnic in the gardens, prior to visiting the palace. Our guide was knowledgeable and accommodating. I would suggest having the bikes ready for pick up in Versailles. It took a while until they brought them out and equipped them with baskets. Other than that, a really pleasant trip and overall day.
Best tour ever!! Saw so much. Our guide Robin was wonderful...really made the day. Her knowledge, enthusiasm and wit was very refreshing. Picnic lunch was great. Highly recommend.
We really enjoyed the tour, our guide "declan" was informative, friendly, and had good sense of humor. The shopping at the Village market place was an amazing experience and the food was delicious. The bicycle was smooth and easy to ride. Details were well thought of.
I rate this tour as one of the best things I did on vacation. Although we were unable to stay with the group I wanted to add my son and his girlfriend but the outfit couldn't accommodate the 2 extra people we went on our own and had the same experience, renting our bikes on-site. This place is amazing! Picnic in the Gardens of Versailles, cycle around the lush landscaping and enjoy a piece of country-side in Paris.
What a great experience! We really enjoyed touring the gardens via a bike and enjoying a picnic lunch along the water which we had purposed earlier at the market. We could have just spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing there! Our tour guide was interested in educating on us the history in a fun way and providing us the opportunity to enjoy the spectacular grounds. The chateau was a little disappointing as the crowds were very large and people were more interested in getting pictures then the experience. Overall, a great tour!
Daniele was a great tour guide and we really enjoyed the behind the scenes look at the gardens which only a bike tour could provide. Highly recommended!
The tour and guide were great. This is a full day tour. Be sure to bring water.
We enjoyed this tour immensely. This was one of our most memorable experiences during our 4-city trip in Europe. What made it stand out was our tour guide, Fraser, who was above what you would normally expect from a tour guide. He was funny, entertaining and warm. You feel like you're biking with a friend, instead of being part of a tour. He peppered his interpretation of history with pop culture analogies, making it interesting even to our 10-year old.
This was a great tour a good way to see Versailles. The only negative is that the bike place was hard to find need to add a map of how to get there.
Anna was a knowledgeable and entertaining guide who looked after all of us spectacularly well. The picnic in the gardens was great, and loved Marie Antoinettes garden.
We loved the bike tour of Versailles. The visit to the local market to purchase items for our picnic was a neat experience and eating the picnic lunch by the Grand Canal within the Versailles gardens was perfect. It would be impossible to see all of the gardens on foot, so we were very glad to have the bikes.
Great day out but be prepared for as much walking as cycling. Lunch by the lake was simple and yet special. We had great weather but would be hesitant to do this trip with rain/showers. All in all 9/10
Our guide Clean? was a great group lead. In addition to his considerable skills at keeping the herd together, he was enthusiastic about history. He delivery style was funny, entertaining, and accurate. I highly recommend this, but make sure that you reserve the entire day for it.. it ends after 6pm.
Fantastic day! Best day of our trip! Angel was a fabulous guide. He was enthusiastic and a pleasure to be with. We loved every minute of this tour!
Luca was informative, funny, and encouraging. My husband and I had a great time on this tour!
Highly recommend this tour, slow paced easy ride. Paddy our guide was brilliant, very informative and personable. Loved our visit to the food market to pickup ham, cheese, baguettes and of course the wine. Over all great day.
Thoroughly enjoyed our Versailles experience and the bike tour was the highlight. Our guide, Nathan, was informative and made the ride fun for all.
Highly recommend this trip!! Awesome day and experience - a highlight of our trip! Our guide was excellent!!
The bike trip around Versailles was so fun and a highlight of our trip! Robin was wonderful. A great day!
