What You Can Expect

Viator Exclusive: Private Paris Tour by Citroen 2CV

Enjoy your break at the traditional tea room Ladurée

Meet your private driver near the Opera Garnier or choose a pick-up at your city center hotel to begin this Viator Exclusive tour of Paris by 2CV. Hop into the classic car, first introduced as a work vehicle for farmers in the 1940s and now a beloved French icon, and enjoy the view as you travel through Paris.

Drive past several of the city's main sights, including the Arc de Triomphe, Notre-Dame Cathedral, Louvre Museum, Moulin Rouge cabaret and the Eiffel Tower. Travel through the bohemian quarters of Saint-Germain-des-Prés and Montmartre, getting insider tips for visiting the neighborhoods later on your own. Take advantage of your private guide to ask questions along the way, and rest assured there will be plenty of opportunities to get out and snap photos.

After about an hour, stop for a sweet treat and warm drink at the famous Ladurée tea room. The shop was originally a bakery, and in 1871 Baron Haussmann turned it into a more refined pastry shop.

After indulging in one of the decadent treats in the  Ladurée case, you'll meet your guide outside the cafe to continue your sightseeing tour of Paris. See the elegant Place Vendôme and Luxembourg Gardens, two spaces popular with locals and less-visited by tourists. At the conclusion of your tour, your driver will drop you off either back at your hotel or at the pick-up point near Opera Garnier.

Please note: The Deux Chevaux is smaller than most modern automobiles, so to maximize comfort these tours are limited to three people per car (not including the driver). If your group is larger than three, that's no problem. As many as nine people can book this private tour, with each trio being assigned its own driver and car, and the vehicles traveling in a convoy.

GREAT way to see Paris. These cars are a rare gem in town and get a lot of attention from people as you pass. Our driver was Tristan. He was easy going, fun, and knowledgeable. He took us to a lot of smaller streets and locations you can't see on a big bus tour and a lot of places we didn't even know about but, were well worth seeing. We didn't drive around with the top down because it was freezing however, our guide would have definitely put it down if we wanted it. I would do this tour again! Our 7 year old son loved it too.

Ronalt was fanatastic! He knew everything there is to know about Paris and was also very funny. Full of many antidotes about the reasons behind so much of the architecture of Paris. We absolutely loved it!

Even after being tired from the flight we were ready for this tour. The Hotel stowed our luggage along with calling to inform the tour company we were there. Driver was a bit late as traffic was bad/heavy. Vincent/Driver loaded us up in this vintage car starting a wonderful tour and conservation. We saw many of the main areas along with several of the not so main areas but, all explained. We stopped in many areas to take photos. Another great, not expected, item was many people looked at, took pictures and asked about the car we were in. A great personnel way to see Paris!

Loved our guide! She was friendly, delightful and professional. We toured with the top down although it was a brisk morning. After a few minutes, we didn't notice the chill. This is the best way for 2-3 people to get an overview of Paris. My grand daughter and I had only 4 hours to see the sights and we saw them all!

For us this was the best tour we've ever been on in any city we've visited!

Claudia, our guide, was adorable, friendly, and a wealth of information. She asked specifically what we wanted to see. We told Claudia we wanted a neighborhood tour since we'd already seen all the major sites. Claudia immediately took us on a journey that had no tourists, quaint neighborhoods, and more history than you can imagine. You could tell Claudia loved what she was doing because we loved being with her.

Our tour also included a stop at Laudree for hot beverages and delicious pastries. The inside of Laudree is stunning and filled with history not to mention the pastries were to die for.

We loved this tour, will recommend it to others and Trip Advisor, and would take this trip again next time in Paris.
