A very informative tour, Kevin was great. Very recommended for your visit to Versailles.
The driver extremely careful. Kevin was with us all of the way helping in every way that he could. We all arrived on time so Kevin took time to show us a little about beautiful Paris. We even had time for a cup of coffee before going in. The meeting place is conveniently located at the Metropolitan metro station-easy to get to, on the Place de la Concorde.
To see Versailles away from the crowds is the only way. The history shared on the tour was amazing.
When you walk out after the tour by a palace guide with Kevin's guiding eye the crowds are unbelievable. You truly get the feel of the palace with this tour. My only suggestion would be
to meet at the end of the little green engine ride. The suggested restaurant is a hidden from view and signs obscure. When I asked the trolley driver for directions, the old man crudely blasted me in French. I did not reply, though I do speak French.
Wonderful, wonderful! This was the most efficient, thorough, fun, stress-free activity we did while in Paris.
Could have used a ride to Marie Antoinette's Hamlet. Was hard to walk to it and back by 2:15.
Everything about this was sensational and I've already recommended it to several people.
What a day. This was better than anything I could have hoped for. The Palace was so opulent and we enjoyed the private tour through the areas not normally seen by the general public like the clock room, writing room, Louis XIV's bedroom and the Royal chapel. We were very privileged to see the library, Marie Antoinette's game room, the dining room and the opera house. After the palace tour we spent the afternoon in the stunning royal gardens and orangerie and enjoyed the musical fountain show. A very full day, including transfers from Paris and very much enjoyed.
United Arab Emirates
the BEST tour EVER .. VIP treatment and amazing tour guides.. kevin or kevin the 1st as he calles him self was very friendly, sweet and efficient guid we loved him so much ... and the other guid in Versailles was very knowledgeable as well .. recommended tour and worth every penny
Im so glad that i arranged this tour . The tour bus was comfortable. Was a relaxing trip to the countryside. Its about an hour drive from Paris. The real treat was to avoid the huge crowd in line. being in the tour group you have a different entrance and able to see some rooms that its not open to the public. The Palace is extraordinary and so magnificent.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. The Guide at Versailles was very knowledgeable and shared so much information with us, he was terrific. It was nice to miss the crowds too and have an intimate glimpse of court life as it was for the royal families. The gardens were stunning, and as we visited on a Tuesday, classical music was playing as we wandered around, lovely.
Tour was absolutely fantastic!! Started exactly on time, beautiful new mini-bus, good tour host on bus and to and from tour. Tour Director at Palace was excellent and the tour was amazing!!! We were in a private chapel for 20 min., a private opera that the public never sees, and many other private rooms without the public crowds. THIS TOUR WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY - THE ONLY WAY TO DO IT IF YOU CAN!!
Fantastic tour. Both the tour guide on the bus and the your guide in the palace we excellent. We loved it.
Excellent and well worth the money as you get into rooms others never get to see. Versaille is spectacular and our guide was very knowledgible. Not to be missed. No waiting in lines, get in by a side door and no crowds, the best.
it was an excellently organised tour. The going was great n the tour guide was exceptional. She gave u not only the inside view but with covered each exhibit whit detailed description which made the wholr thing just G8. wish she had accompanied us to the gardens as well..
Versailles is so incredibly crowded with tourists (France gets more tourists annually than any other country in the world) that despite the very early start (it was still dark outside when we met the tour bus) it was well worth it to beat the crowds and get exclusive viewings of the King's private rooms and the beautiful chapel and opera. The tour bus guide was a little corny, but the palace tour guide was full of knowledge of this part of her country's history. When I got home I read up on France's rocky political history. Louis XVI was executed, but France was not totally done with the monarchy as there were other kings to follow. The Versailles gardens and fountains are vast and beautiful. Lovely Baroque music echoed throughout the grounds out of high quality invisible speakers. If you want to avoid waiting in line and masses of tourists, this tour is for you.
Value for money! The line was so long, we walked straight past everyone into a room with our small group of 16 people. Our guide spoke excellent English and we were treated to a close up walk through history. We were able to stand in the chapel where the Kings of France were married and prayed, sat in the Opera Hall, this was all private with only our group in the rooms. We then proceeded into the gardens to watch the water fountains and listen to some beautiful music. Viator then picked us up in an open top small bus and delivered us safely back to Paris. Our tour leader was a delight and I enjoyed the day immensely. It will stay in my memory as one of the best days of our holiday.
Worth every penny!
We stood in the church were Louis XVI married Marie Antoinette while the general public could only look in from the doorway. We were able to visit the private quarters of both Louis XV and Louis XVI; as well as Marie Antoinette's bedroom and sitting room. We were inches from the Passemant Astronomical Clock which is the 18th century clock which set the official time in France for the first time in their history. Finally, our guide was able to get us in to Royal Opera House, built to celebrate the marriage of Louis XVI, and is one of only a few Opera Houses of wood construction still in existence. This tour is a MUST-SEE.
