This was a great 1st day experience! The tour gave us a understanding of the area and what attractions we wanted to return to. Our docent was great! We learned alot and had fun. Planning a return trip and we will do the tour again with new traveling partners.
The tour guide couldn't have been nicer. He was extremely polite, knowledgeable and helpful. We enjoyed every minute of it.
Marianne was a terrific guide and very knowledgeable .
Our group was very compatible and although the weather was rainy and freezing we enjoyed a wonderful tour .
Had lots of fun and really felt like we got a great history lesson!
We thoroughly enjoyed our Philadelphia walking tour. Our guide was wonderful. Would recommend this tour.
Josh was fabulous!! Very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I would soooo recommend this tour!
By walking around and talking about the old buildings, the guide gave us a good overview of American history. Very interesting!
Super informative, great way to get your bearings too.
I think our tour guide was Nina. She has lived in Philly all her life and gave us a great tour.
We saw lots of the historic sites but got to see more because she new the city so well.
Will definitely book a tour with this company again.
Very good guide! Could tell he loved the city and was excited to share his knowledge .
We had a great time in Philadelphia. Nina our tour guide was very good and in formative. We enjoyed the the tour very much.
Fantastic tour, our tour guide Chris was so informative and his knowledge on American history was second to none. Was also very personable and easy to listen to. Highly recommend
My wife and I were the only ones on this walking tour with Mary Ann, though it was advertised as up to 12 people, so it was a very personal tour for sure. The pace was good and we visited lots of interesting areas, went into the Carpenter's Hall, saw what remains of Ben Franklins house, Epherin's Alley, past some interesting shops on 2nd street, went inside Christ's Church and sat in Washington's pew, and wound up in the Khyber Pass Inn for local beers on tap and some conversation. I felt bad that we were the only two she had on the tour, so I doubled my tip. Plus she was so nice and easy to understand, even took pics of us when our battery died and said she would email them to us. We have done Urban Adventures tour before in Barcelona and I prefer this way of touring for those with no mobility problems. This time of year (mid-April) there were very few tourists except large groups of young students, but we stayed away from the sites that attracted crowds, so it was lots less stressful.
Wonderful way to spend a couple of hours in Philadelphia. Our guide Josh was fun and very knowledgeable and very passionate about the city. The company used was called Urban Adventures and I would happily recommend them to anyone visiting the city. In fact, if I go back to Philadelphia I may do the tour again as I enjoyed it that much. thanks.
Great tour with informative guide. Highly recommended even if you only have a short time in Philly.
Excellent knowledgeable tour guide. Small group. Really learned new history of Philadelphia. My grandson loved it.
Our tour guide, Alex was fantastic, very informative and funny. The tour starts at the visitor centre and ended in the Triumph Brewery for a quick sample!!. There were only 5 in our tour and it added to the experience. Alex really knows his history and handled all of the questions asked of him brilliantly. The tour lasted for 2.5 hours and took in all of the main historic locations that this part of Philadelphia had to offer.
A brilliant memorable experience. Thank you Alex.
We were very pleased with the tour our guide was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable he definitely enjoyed his job. We would be very happy to recommend this tour to others, thank you very well done. Chris and Richard Horswill, Hobart, Tasmania, Australia
great! wonderful tour guide ... time goes by fast when you have very pleasant and informative guide ... definetly would recommend this to family and friends
The tour was great and the tour guide, Trevor with Urban Adventures was a very good and informative guide. I would take another tour with Urban Adventures.
Had a great time. Many stops with stories. Covered lots of ground. Lisa was very knowledgeable. Would do it again.
Our tour guide Chris was a self-confessed 'history geek.' He had great enthusiasm and an encyclopaedic knowledge of American history and the birth of 'freedom' and the US Constitution. It was a nice touch finishing in an old pub and having a drink with the guide and fellow tour participants.
Trevor was my tour guide. He was great! Very knowledgable and fun. I had never been to Philly before and his tour made the trip a great experience! He was also very helpful with recommendations of other places to go keeping in mind that I was a woman sight seeing alone. Our group had a great time!!
My husband and I just moved to the Philadelphia area, and were looking for a way to really get to know the historic part of the city. We loved our tour, and our tour guide Chris was excellent! We toured parts of town we'd seen before, but with the tour were able to see them in a whole new light. I'm going to recommend this tour when friends/family come to visit. It's a great way to get an overview of Philadelphia and the incredible American history that happened here.
