My husband and I just returned from a cruise. This excursion was easily the highlight for us. Bobby and Kay with Aqua Mania were awesome. Bobby took us out and went into the water with us. He pointed out lobsters, starfish, and identified many many other fish. They obviously take pride in their company and work, and genuinely wanted us to have a great time, which we did. I would highly recommend them.
We had a blast. My 16 yr old son liked the speed boats the best because he got to drive and the tour guide made it really fun with follow the leader. The snorkeling was good but a little crowded as other tour boats came over to where we were. It didn't take away from the experience though. We wanted to go to the airplane beach afterward for about an hour and they were willing to drop us off there and came back to get us right on time to take us back to our ship after we were done which was a nice surprise.
we had a great time on the power boats and the diving at creole rock was beautiful. We spent our afternoon hanging out at the beach in Simpson Bay and eating at the bar and grill. That was amazing!
What a fantastic time! Loved driving and riding in our own boat! We had great snorkeling around creole rock. Our group had 4 boats following the larger lead boat. Only problem was that viator had the departure time as 10am and they actually leave at 9am. We were there 30minutes early and the other 6 people were waiting for us. Thankful that they didn't leave without us!
Awesome tome, awesome guide. If we ever go back to St Maarten we well definitely do it again.
This was a fun trek to the north side of the island with 1 beach stop and 1 snorkel site stop. They provide equipment and water. Boats are fast enough to be entertaining but not as responsive as a jetski. Overall it was the highlight of our trip.
The seat cushion needs to be a little thicker for the big waves.
This was the best shore excursion we have ever done. Great driving boat. Great snorkeling Fun
We had an awesome time on the boats and snorkeling! We had plenty of time on the mini boats and snorkeling. There were beautiful views of different parts of the island as we went on the boats and plenty of different types of fish (including an white eagle ray!) when we were snorkeling. The guide was really great - he even pulled out different sea creatures (urchins and starfish) from the bottom of the ocean and brought them up for us to view and hold. He passed out some refreshments before we headed back to shore which was really nice. One thing to watch out for, un-beknownst to the guide, they had overbooked our trip by one couple and didn't have the extra boat working/available (I know this books thru viator and cruise lines for the same tour). I would make sure you check-in with the desk across from the boats prior to coming down to check-in with the guide/get in your boat to ensure everything is all set, and get there 15 minutes early just in case these issues arise (though who knows how often they happen). Best excursion of our trip and the 10am tour isn't super early and gives you enough time to check out the rest of St. Maarten prior to returning to the ship. Enjoy!
Fantastic guide. He dove in with us and pointed out different sea creatures. He even used my camera to take a picture of an eel that was too deep for me to take.

Our tour guides name was Bobby and he was so passionate about snorkeling and protecting the environment. I have to tell you this was the best excursion and we will never forget the experience we had. It was a beautiful day, even when it rained briefly. The best part about it was that the cost for this excursion seemed too good to be true... but it was true! We rode the 2 seater boat for about 45, visited a beach (nude) to do some swimming, rode the boat a while longer and then went snorkeling for around an hour. We saw some beautiful fish and Bobby is an experienced diver so he was able to go down to the bottom and show us specimens. Again, we had so much fun and since the group we went out with was pretty small, (7 total) we got special attention and just had a fabulous day. I have no complaints, Only praise!
FANTASTIC!!!! Worth every penny! I would say that a bit more padding on the seat would be great as we flew over the waves...i would do this again in a heartbeat!!
It was great fun. We were lucky to be the only two to go out so we had a personal guide. The boats were great fun and so reasonable for a 2 1/2 hours trip. Try renting a jet ski for an hour and see what that will cost. The excursion allowed us to see things we never would have seen. Thanks
This trip was a blast! We went during a really slow time of year and it was only my wife and I, and the guide. We had a ton of fun driving the boat which has a surprising amount of power. The snorkeling was decent, not a lot of coral, but a ton of fish, an eagle ray, and an arrowhead crab. Our guide was friendly and personable, and knew a lot about the island and sea-life. It is definitely something we would do again!
Really lots of fun. Little boats are easy to handle. Your bottom may get a bit sore, but not to bad. Snorkeling at Creole Rock was fun too. Highly recommend.
Overall we had a good time on our tour. Our group showed up early so we started our tour early which was nice. Driving the boats was fun. I was wondering if the boats were going to be slow and they were actually pretty fast. The snorkeling was good but not great. The goggles that my wife was using would not seal and our guide was nice enough to allow her to use his. Our guide was good however he did not provide an "over the top experience" that I feel would warrant 5 stars.
Really fun excursion and a great way to see the island. The tour takes you on a nice ride along the coastline with plenty of opportunity for fun pictures or to switch drivers. The snorkeling was OK. Not the best I've seen but it added a fun element to the trip. Our guide was really great and very attentive to keeping everyone on track to be sure we had plenty of time in the water. The location is a little tough for the cab drivers from the cruise dock so be sure to tell them Pelican Bay. Several great lunch spots around the location of the marina so don't rush back to the ship.
Had a blast!!!
First you will get some instructions, but doesn't take to much of your time, and then you're on your way. You will go through the marina to make your way to the ocean and the Creole Rock. It was a lot of fun. Yes you follow the main boat but you can still play around with your personal boat and go as fast as you'd like. We snorkeled for about an hour, which was plenty, and then the guide provided us with a beverage before we made our way back. The snorkeling at Creole Rock is alright, I've been to better spots to snorkel but also have been to worse. The reefs are pretty cool, but not very many fish. All in all it was a great time and would definitely recommend this excursion. A good thing to know as well is that we did this during one of our ports of call with our cruise ship. You should give yourselves a good hour for transportation as traffic can get really busy in the morning, we almost missed the excursion.
