What You Can Expect
After pickup from your Philipsburg hotel, venture first to Grand Case Beach, one of the most tranquil and beautiful of St Martin's coastline. Here, on the north end of the French side, walk along the crystal-white sand and admire the pristine, clear blue water that mirrors the sky. Sunbathe, swim or stroll at your leisure, basking in the tropical sun.
The visit the village of Grand Case, where you can try guavaberry rum punch or simply enjoy a soda or beer. If you choose, dine on a local dish, such as chicken legs or Johnny Cake – a fried cornmeal pancake – for lunch (own expense).
Next, head to the quaint village of Marigot. Delight in the European ambiance of the town, where colonial streets lined with shops and the open-air bazaar offer plenty of duty-free shopping opportunities if you’re interested.
Then, visit Maho Beach and hold your breath as you watch airplanes fly close above as they approach the runway at nearby Princess Juliana International Airport. Your tour ends with a drive through Simpson Bay on your return to your hotel.
Great job Will! My family had a great time and we discovered some new spots on the island for beach fun and food.
Our driver Eddie/Mike was great. Not only was he funny, but he was a walking talking history book of the island. I have no idea how he could drive and remember all those facts. Highlights of this trip were feeding the iguanas and watching the airplanes come in. AirFrance was late, but Eddie didn't rush us. Watch out for the free rum punch. It will kick you later.
LOVED THE ENTIRE TRIP. OUR GUIDE WAS VERY INFORMATIVE AND FUNNY. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND TAKING THIS TOUR TO EVERYONE VISITING BEAUTIFUL ST MAARTEN. WE TOOK THE TOUR ON OUR FIRST DAY THERE AND RE-VISITED THE PLACES THAT ESPECIALLY INTERESTED US.
Great trip. Excellent driver. I would recommend it
Great tour guide, very informative and saw so much!!!
We went on this tour on Saturday Dec 06, 2014 and it was awesome. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable, friendly and funny. He provided us all kind of drinks: rum punch, beers, soft drinks and water which was generous of the tour. We received a lot of historic information about the Dutch and French side. Well worth it and satisfied
Brilliant! Guide/driver was friendly and very informative about the island. 3 coolers containing lots of rum punch, beer, fizzy pop and water. Told us the only rule concerning the trip was to leave the coolers empty!! Five in our family party from cruise ship plus other tourists all thoroughly enjoyed it. No hesitation in recommending this trip.
Oscar was fabulous! This was the perfect way to get an overview of the island. The bus was clean and the schedule of sites well planned. Worth the time and money.
Everything was more than I expected. Pickup was exactly on time. Our driver/guide was most knowledgable and helpful. It was a great experience.
we were picked up at the port and went on a wonderful tour of the entire island. Our guide stopped several times for pictures, visited a beautiful beach then on to more sightseeing, with plenty of FREE cool beverages alcoholic and non-alcoholic for the entire day. I think our favorite spot was a stop at Maho Beach. This is where the airplanes fly over the beach and land. For the more adventurous like ourselves, we held on to the fence as a 737 took off. Able to cross that off the bucketlist. Plenty of time for sightseeing, shopping, down time at beaches. I would definitely take this tour again!
