Grand Canyon Helicopter and Ground Tour From Phoenix

Grand Canyon Day Tour From Phoenix

After hotel pickup in the Phoenix metro area, including Scottsdale and Mesa, get comfortable in your luxury van for the drive to Grand Canyon National Park. Make a photo stop in Sedona where you can stretch your legs and snap views of its renowned Red Rocks while your guide procures a gourmet picnic lunch, which you’ll feast on later at the canyon rim.

Back in your vehicle, continue on one of the most scenic drives in America via Oak Creek Canyon — a river gorge featuring 2,000 vertical feet (600 meters) of red-walled canyon that emerges into a forest of towering ponderosa pines — commonly referred to as the smaller cousin of the Grand Canyon.

Reaching your destination at the South Rim, the crown jewel of your day trip begins with your Grand Canyon helicopter tour. Board a state-of-the-art chopper for a safety briefing, then buckle up for the 50-minute flight, following the Colorado River toward the canyon’s eastern end. Your pilot soars above the Kaibab National Forest and through the Dragon Corridor — the widest and deepest part of this incredible natural wonder.

Upon landing, soak up more scenery with an optional guided walk along the rim trail and enjoy your picnic lunch at a lookout point. After, relax on a driving tour along a 30-mile (48-km) section of the rim as you snap photos and learn about the Grand Canyon's natural history.

After a total of three hours at the national park, you’re driven back to Phoenix via the Painted Desert, located within the Navajo Nation in the Four Corners area. Browse for authentic Navajo goods at a trading post before your 13-hour tour ends with drop-off at your hotel.

Where do I start, defiantly 1 of the wonders of the world breath taking views at every turn. Our guide Marc was amazing and had a wealth of knowledge and took us to not too busy places to get the best views. The helicopter was wow no words can describe the views you get again the pilot/guide was great and pointed out all the different areas. Expensive trip but worth every penny.

We loved the trip and was well worth what we paid. Unfortunately for us due to circumstances out of our control we weren't able to get on the helicopter. However, there were many other highlights during our trip. Thanks to Chad for a great day.
We were told that the helicopter portion of our trip would be reimbursed, however we haven't seen that yet. Hopefully it will happen soon.

I would suggest making sure people know they can't take a purse. I was not happy to leave my wallet and medicine with the van driver.
