Read what other Viator.com travelers think about the Grand Canyon Helicopter and Ground Tour From Phoenix. What they loved, what they liked and what they think could be improved, it's all here to help you make the most of your next trip.
The tour of the Grand Canyon and Sedona were originally schedule for the 9th of September, following bad weather in the Arizona area, the tour was postponed to the 10th. Communication from the tour operator was excellent and professional. The tour itself was absolutely amazing! The driver Memo was very knowledgeable, friendly and experienced. He took us to some great photo spots and provided us with constant information regarding the surrounding area.
The helicopter tour was phenomenal, the views of the Canyon from the sky are second to none! The pilot Jake was also fantastic, shared several jokes, very knowledgeable and even though I called him Jack a few times didn't correct me once!
An unbelievable experience at a great price! I would recommend this to anyone and will hopefully have the opportunity to do it again!
It was very informative and interesting. I would recommend it.
A great trip. The pilot was very good and when he said "ladies and gentlemen welcome to the Grand Canyon" we then literally appeared from above trees to being over the Grand Canyon. I cannot recommend this trip highly enough. Awesome and worth every penny
This was a great day out. Robert our tour guide had good knowledge. Everyone was introduced to each other. He made us feel like we were a happy family. This is a tour to remember. If you are thinking about it BOOK NOW!
I was picked at my hotel and driven up to the Grand Canyon. I got on helicopter for first time and saw the majesty of the Grand Canyon. I wish to add that the tour guide was very knowledgeable and told us very interesting facts about the towns and attractions. I highly recommend this trip
Awesome! Tour was fantastic, and Paul was wonderful! It's a very long day, however, Paul kept the group engaged and happy. Learned a great deal as well.
This was an incredible day trip...well worth the time and money. The views we experienced on the helicopter tour of the canyon absolutely took our breath away. Our guide was terrific on the ground tour - very entertaining.
Mike, our driver/tour guide (from Detours) was very friendly, pleasant, and, knowledgeable, which made the adventure even more interesting. The gird's eye view of the Grand Canyon from the helicopter was breathtaking. The only thing I didn't like was my seat at the helicopter. The helicopter tour is in a counterclockwise loop and if you are seating in the second row right window, you will miss the iconic scene of the Canyon. They are to the left. But apart from this, the view is amazing. Being in Phoenix just for a weekend, this tour gave me the advantage to see the most I could in one day. Definitely, I'll be back to Phoenix and, to the Grand Canyon to do other activities (rafting, staying overnight, etc.). I strongly recommend this tour.
Unbelievable Pictures and postcards do not do it justice! Les the tour guide was so knowledgeable of the areas. Sedona the ride over the Grand Canyon again unbelievable!
EXCELLENT TREAT BY DE GUIDE, AND HE IS A PERSON WITH THE RIGHT KMOWLEDGE OF WHAT HE SAYS.
THANKS A LOT
WOW!!!!! Les Graff, Tour Leader, led my children, 70-ish year old parents, and another family of 4 on a wonderful, informative, and memorable tour of Sedona, Flagstaff, the Grand Canyon, and Navajo Indian Reservation. If all the tour leaders are as informative as Les, than this is can't miss. Les brings a unique PASSION for Geology and Native Americans that is unparalled. My head was swimming in information and I learned so much that I will recommend Les to all my colleagues.
I gave it 5 stars because of Les. I thought about 4 stars because we signed up and paid for a 50 minute helicopter tour. Due to weather, we only were able to go on a 30 minute tour in the sky. There is no refund for the difference in the tour when this happens. That is unfortunate.
I will recommend this tour to everybody. I will suggest they don't risk the helicopter adventure when you book and if you can sign up during the tour, then that is a bonus!
trip was fantastic. Tour guide, Montana, did a fabulous job. BHe was funny, but more importantly very
informative. He knows his stuff... and a professional geologist on our bus confirmed it. The helicopter ride

October 27, 2013 ---Viewing the Grand Canyon by helicopter is the only way to see it - in my opinion. Dave our pilot was great (to actually fly above the canyon and see such beauty is jawdropping). Our tour guide (on land) was Rick R. who by far was absolutely fabulous. Rick was so knowledgeable in all aspects of AZ and had a great sense of humor to go along with it. Rick was great with the camera. We have such awesome shots of our trip. I would DEFINITELY recommend this trip.
