The tour provided a good overview of the area. The office staff and tour guide were all friendly and helpful.
I was picked up at my hotel on schedule.
Paul was an excellent tour guide. We could not have asked for anyone more knowledgeable and personable. From the time he picked us up at our hotel until he dropped us off, he entertained my daughter and I. Since she had never been to Phoenix, he made sure we saw plenty of sites. He also gave us information and maps about Sedona and the Grand Canyon since we were going to visit there later. I would highly recommend this tour.
Our tour guide Bruce went beyond what was expected or necessary to show us around, taking extra time to allow us to see everything and spend time where we liked things the best. Service was friendly and safe, and it really was a good time.
Great tour if you have just a day to see the highlights of Scottsdale and Phoenix , tour guide Mack was fun and knowledgable. The lunch stop at the Farm Kitchen was above average.
Paul really gave us a wonderful tour. He was patient, friendly and was a good driver This is our third viator trip and we learned so much Give him a raise/
Phoenix is a tough town in which to get your bearings; this tour was very helpful to understand he history and growth of the city. We saw the Arizona Biltmore and Arizona Falls which my husband never saw even though he spent a couple years in Phoenix! Nice lunch at Farm at South Mountain and great stop enjoying the city panorama from the top of that mountain afterward. Wonderful friendly guide; he made us feel happy and at home.
Loved the tour, the guide was very professional, knowlegable and friendly, and the food was great.
The guide Mr.R was really friendly, kind and knowledgeable. I felt he really love his job and it seemed like everyone really enjoyed the tour.
We really enjoyed it. Thanks.
Excellent tour guide, loved seeing the memorial park for the servicemen. Really was excited that we saw a run completed by servicemen/women, complete with a bagpipe greeting. Phoenix is an amazing city
We enjoyed the tour even though we were not able to go to 'South Mountain'. Jack enjoyed the attention paid to him but Joan believes she was greatly ignored. Please tell Paul to search "Colorado River in Texas" He was adament that the Cloroado River did not go through Texas. Sorry Paul, it does----right through Austin and creates LakeTravis via a dam.
I enjoyed this trip because it provided me with a general familiarity of the Phoenix area. The tour guide was very personable and shared lots of funny and interesting anecdotes with the group. My only disappointment was that the tour didn't include any stops at historical sights or museums like St. Mary's Basilica, the Japanese Garden, the Heard Museum, etc.
Particularly enjoyed the drive up to the top of the "rock". the tour quide was excellent. Phoenix was not an interesting city.
This was a very interesting and informative tour. It began with a pick-up at our hotel, even though it wasn't listed as a pick-up point, and although there were only 4 of us on the tour, the guide was happy, friendly and well informed with a good sense of humour.
Good tour for an overview of Phoenix, from the early years to present, the good and the ugly. The South Mountain park provided an excellent view and lunch at the Farm was unique. Guide was knowledgeable. With the group starting out from "all corners" of Phoenix, the drive to pick-up and drop-off was excessive. Tour was purchased from Viator and serviced by Detours.
The tour guide did a great job - Just the right amount of pertinent info mixed with colorful background. The stops were timed very well and the van was comfortable. We had a nice group of people from varied backgrounds. Lunch at the Sugar-Bowl was okay - over-all very worthwhile!!!
Guide seemed knowledgeable but too much time was spent on places that should have been reduced in order to cover more interesting spots in both cities.
the tour guide spent to much time having everyone in the van get to "know" each other. we drove right by the capital without one explanation on its history; but lots of information on where Betty Sue came from and her favorite foods!
OKAY. THE TOUR WAS INEXPENSIVE. THE LUNCH WAS A CUT ABOVE. THE HIGH POINT FOR ME. I'M NOT A SPORT FAN,SO WAY TO MUCH TIME WAS SPENT LOOKING AT THE OUTSIDE OF STADIUMS AND CIRCLING THE DOWNTOWN WHICH WAS KIND OF SCRUFFY. I BET PHONIX HAS A NICER PART OF TOWN. CURIOSE ABOUT SENIOR/ SNOW BIRD COMMUNITIES. HIGHER END HOUSING COMMUNITIES. NONE OF THAT COVERED. IT WOULD HAVE MADE FOR A NICER BALANCE.
