Khao Sok Full Day Jungle Safari from Phuket

The day starts early with a drive through Phang Nga province passing rubber plantations and small villages. Enjoy an early morning cup of coffee at the Khao Lak view point before visiting the Tsunami Museum, where you will see poignant reminders of the 2004 tragedy.

Then, take a ride of a lifetime a top an elephant, as you explore the jungle. You will trek for approximately one hour along jungle trails deep into the valley, with stunning scenery along the way. Afterward travel to the Khao Sok view point for great panoramas of the area before becoming acquainted with the inhabitants of Monkey Cave.

Stop for lunch of traditional Thai favourites at a restaurant near the river. Then put your swim suit on and paddle down the river by canoe. The trip takes approximately 1.5-hours and you will see gibbons swinging in the trees, snakes basking in the sun and other wildlife as you make your way down stream. Your tour concludes with a transfer back to Phuket Town arriving early in the evening.

Our tour guide Ann was excellent, the Thai government is still building the memorial where the navy boat was washed ashore once it is complete it will be impressive, the canoneing relaxing and no complaints about lunch. The elephant ride was nothing like we have experienced before the handler actually gets of the elephant and walks leaving the passangers in the seat (a little bit scary) but good all the same. Instead of going to Monkey Temple we went to a park there was so many monkeys there it was great.

All up worth every cent.
