Best tour we took in Phuket! It was alot of driving but well worth it. We enjoyed the Elephant trek alot. The tsunami memorial is not done yet. It only had the ship the washed up ashore and some pictures from that day. Canoe ride was relaxing. You just sit back and enjoy the scenery. Lunch was good as well.
Our tour guide Ann was excellent, the Thai government is still building the memorial where the navy boat was washed ashore once it is complete it will be impressive, the canoneing relaxing and no complaints about lunch. The elephant ride was nothing like we have experienced before the handler actually gets of the elephant and walks leaving the passangers in the seat (a little bit scary) but good all the same. Instead of going to Monkey Temple we went to a park there was so many monkeys there it was great.
All up worth every cent.
Fabulour trip - air conditioned bus - about 2 hours both ways but well worth the travel.
For those who have the adventure spirit in them (like us), they would enjoy the 3.5 hours one way drive. After that, we loved both parts of the trip, the elephant trekking which was outstanding, and the kayaking that was so relaxing. In between we had a great lunch Thai buffet that we loved too.
The tour was very well organised. It was a very long journey from Phuket (Kata) up to the jungle - around 3 hours each way and we weren't quite prepared for it to take that long. However the bus was comfortable and we stopped for coffee along the way. Consequently it was a full day but with 6 hours of driving!
Once we got there it was straight into the canoe, which was very relaxing and pretty amazing to be going through the jungle - and by jungle it really looked like something from a film - it was *that* perfect! The canoe trip was lots of fun.
The lunch was very good - loads of well cooked food and plenty to drink
The elephants were the real stars of the day - not only did they look really happy, they were real characters and it was the most fun to ride through the jungle on them. We had the opportunity to pet and feed them (they particularly like watermelon) at the end, which added a whole other level to the experience!
I'd recommend this trip to all ages - everyone seemed to have a really enjoyable day.
Our guide was very friendly, the drive was long but we were very comfortable. The whole experience was just brilliant. One of the highlights was our Elephant Trainer sang Thai songs throughout our trek. He also pointed out natural fauna and wildlife. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.
The jungle was beautiful and the guide was very sweet. She did a great job of explaining everything. The elephant ride and the canoe ride was very nice. The only thing I didn't like was that it took 3 hrs to drive there from Phuket, but to get to the jungle there is no other way. It was worth it.
Really grey day out. The canoe ride was long and relaxing. Our guide was very informative and pointed out all the animals and sights. The elephant trek was fun too and our rider was very entertaining.

This trip was absolutely amazing, though buffet was pretty bad. Guide was really good at speaking English. A shame we didn't do this the first day as this guy explained everything about Phuket to us. Absolutely brilliant.

One of the highlights of the trip. Over an hour and a half on the river in inflatables and an equal time going into the back country on the elephants. They definitely do NOT put one on an elephant for a photo shoot and walk you around the paddock. It was fantastic.

This tour was just the best. The canoe trip down the river was great, with very friendly guides and amazing scenery and plenty of birdlife to be seen. The elephant ride afterwards was everything I had hoped for. Such a pleasant and enjoyable ride through the jungle on the back of a gentle giant. We even had the opportunity to feed the elephants afterwards, which was just great. I thoroughly recommend this tour.

The canoe ride is amazing, it even includes a coffee break in the middle of the jungle! Elephant trekking in the afternoon is also amazing. I felt very privileged by having this experience. I was also well-looked after by the guides.
It was good. personally I am not regretful to doing that despite long hours being on the way. I really enjoys elephant trekking and canoing. The museum wan not a real museum though. It was just a ship left from tsunami time.
I enjoyed all the day's activities but it is a lot of traveling admittedly through scenic country to make it a long day.

We did this trip on my birthday- March 30th.
The mini bus was very modern and nice, but rather a long drive. The trip went well even in the heavy rain

This safari was great fun and made for a very enjoyable day. We took a long time traveling, though, to get there and back. We were lucky that we brought some money, as we were expected to tip the canoe driver, the elephant driver, the driver of the minivan, and the tour guide

Beautiful scenery. The guide was funny and knowledgeable about Khao Sok and Thailand. Great place to take pics and small friendly group made it more fun.

It's a great tour for those wanting to see more of Thailand than Phuket can offer. The tour takes you to one of the largest national parks in Thailand and the scenery is beautiful. What they do not mention however is that it will take you about 3 hours to get from Phuket to the park and 3 hours back again of course with a coffee break along the way. We thought that we would be able to read a book on the way so we weren't too worried about the travel time, however the mini bus we rode in either had no suspension or the road to Khao Sok is very, very bumpy. But not all was bad. The Elephant trek was amazing and made the travel time more worthwhile. I haven't been trekking on an elephant in Phuket or anywhere for that matter, so it is hard to compare but I can't imagine the other treks would offer such amazing surroundings. You trek through the rainforest with limestone cliffs towering over you for quite a lengthy time before returning to feed your elephant a fruit basket, if you wish for the cost of 100 Bhat, it's worth it. The kayaking down the river gives you a good chance to take in the surroundings. I was a little disappointed not seeing any wildlife apart from snakes rapped up in the trees, however we are in formed that during the hotter months when we travelled, animals are less often seen.

Wonderful. The elephant camp was amazing. Superb lunch supplied and a pleasant tea break by the river. We enjoyed the enthusiasm of our guide. A great day out.
The write up of what the trip was offering and what you were getting for your money was not accurate. I still enjoyed the experience to the max as it was something I have been wanting to do for a long time.
I would have like to know the length of the bus drove before the trip as this was a it of a shock for me. Felt like I spent most of the full day tour on a bus (over 7 hours traveling). This would have given me a better preparation for the day.
Finally I was sitting at the back of the bus and every time the guide started talking the Chinese couple beside me were either talking on their phone or talking loudly between themselves. I found this very disrespectful and also found it really hard to hear the guide explain the sites around us. I would have liked the guide to please ask the couple at the back to respect the other guests and not talk when she was talking.
I found the guide very good and the bits I heard highly knowledgable and interesting. I would have liked a warming about the monkey cave the bananas which were shoved in my hands were going to cost me money. I have no problem with paying money for a service or helping out however this experience where I was forced to take and feed monkeys and afterwards "hounded" for money was off putting. I appreciated the situation and paid however a pleasant warming from your guide prior to pulling up would have been appreciated.
Overall great day.
Of the three tours I took while in phuket, this is the one I would have skipped. The ride was long and the attractions not so great. If you want to go elephant trecking you can do that in the Phuket area instead of driving 3 plus hours.
