So much easier getting these tickets in advance. We walked right up at the appointed time and had as long as we wanted in the tower. It was so hot that day I thought that I'd expire before I reached the top but the views were worth it. We took the train back and forth from Livorno and I would have liked to spend more time in Pisa.
Beautiful architecture. The view from the top of the tower was stunning.
Was a bit worried initially, that I couldn't find the representative yo get tickets from, but once I followed the instructions on my handout, and waited to the allotted time, it was OK, tickets in hand we skipped the queue and after a short wait were able to climb nearly 300 steps to the top! Great views from the top and a great achievement too! One off my list of things to do!
Pisa tour was fantastic . It is a great experience and we like the skip the line tour.
The tour was amazing!! I always do these in cities I am visiting so I can get my directions and priorities. I liked it so much I did it again in Florence.
Very good, well organised. A time slot is assigned to you and you go to the tower 5 mins before hand. Worth doing.
Seemless, present tickets at designated time, climb up. Amazing views and not for the weak!
Beautiful. Our driver was great. The scenery and surrounds picture perfect. Walked straight into th tower and enjoyed visiting the church on the same ticket. Missed the Baptistry as you only get access to one other attraction.
It was worth every cent.
Easily met the Viator contact to collect tickets, very well explained, straight to the Tower, with minimal wait for our time slot, gaur entered entry no need to queue, fantastic experience, not to be missed!
Climbing the leaning tower of Pisa was impressive and definitely something we had to do. We were relieved to be able to purchase last minute tickets through Viator and be able to climb the tower in our limited time frame. Although the tickets were far more expensive than through other agents or direct, Viator was the only agent that had tickets available with 3 days notice. Confirmation was fast, picking up the tickets was very easy on the day, and all information was provided in the confirmation email.
Was a bit worried about the meeting place, but she was there earlier than I expected with all the details and tickets.
Great to be able to walk up the tower.
Viator were extremely efficient and professional. I will most definitely use them again and have no hesitation in recomending their services!!! Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Collecting the tickets was a very efficiient process with the rep giving us all the necessary information.
We followed the advice of Lonely Planet who said don't make your first visit to the Leaning Tower during the day! So we went along in the evening, which proved to be really magical, there was hardly anyone around, so you could really take in the atmosphere on the whole cathedral area. We have booked the Leaning Tower tour for the following day and we weren't then put off by heavy crowds. But, we were amazed at how many tourists don't actually go into any of the Duomo Buildings, the cathedral, baptistry and museum were really comfortable to walk around, aswell as beautiful and informative! The Tower Tour was fantastic, though I'm glad there are resting places on the way up all those 294 steps! The views from the Bell tower were fantastic! The effects of the Lean really messes with your senses when you're walking up and down the steps. Fantastic trip in all.
Finding the representative was easy. Just make sure you get there 15 minutes ahead of time as you have to lock up your bags for security reasons. You can still take your camera. It was nice not having to lug up our bags. The climb wasn't too bad and the views were amazing!!!! So worth doing!!!!!!
Found the meeting point after a little while as there were renovation works all around covering signs and numbers which was a little confusing. Rep arrived at designated time and was efficient with hand over of tickets and explanation.
Purchased the ticket and it covered the Church and the Tower. It was fun walking up the steps and seeing the beautiful view. Pisa is a lovely city. The church is amazing and a must see
When we arrived for the 1600 entrance time there was no line up. The tickets did allow us to enter the free basilica right beside the tower which was nice
Tour was good although there did not seem to be a need to skip the line as there were not many people there and buy on the day people were going in ahead. Guide was knowledgable but delivery in bottom of tour with outside noise, people coming down and going up tower and bad aucostics made her hard to hear without headphones. Room is round so oftern she had her back to us as she spoke
We picked our tickets up without a problem. I don't know how much more we paid than buying the tickets on the day but we didn't want to risk not being able to do the climb so we thought we better book ahead. We still had to queue to climb the tower but this was because they only allow a certain number of people up every half an hour so you have to wait in line for about 15 minutes before starting your climb. the climb itself was easy for us but i would recommend people think carefully before doing it, there are about 500 steps, (which lean just like the tower) and the stairway is very narrow!
