Beautiful. Our driver was great. The scenery and surrounds picture perfect. Walked straight into th tower and enjoyed visiting the church on the same ticket. Missed the Baptistry as you only get access to one other attraction.
It was worth every cent.
Easily met the Viator contact to collect tickets, very well explained, straight to the Tower, with minimal wait for our time slot, gaur entered entry no need to queue, fantastic experience, not to be missed!
Climbing the leaning tower of Pisa was impressive and definitely something we had to do. We were relieved to be able to purchase last minute tickets through Viator and be able to climb the tower in our limited time frame. Although the tickets were far more expensive than through other agents or direct, Viator was the only agent that had tickets available with 3 days notice. Confirmation was fast, picking up the tickets was very easy on the day, and all information was provided in the confirmation email.
Was a bit worried about the meeting place, but she was there earlier than I expected with all the details and tickets.
Great to be able to walk up the tower.
Viator were extremely efficient and professional. I will most definitely use them again and have no hesitation in recomending their services!!! Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Collecting the tickets was a very efficiient process with the rep giving us all the necessary information.
We followed the advice of Lonely Planet who said don't make your first visit to the Leaning Tower during the day! So we went along in the evening, which proved to be really magical, there was hardly anyone around, so you could really take in the atmosphere on the whole cathedral area. We have booked the Leaning Tower tour for the following day and we weren't then put off by heavy crowds. But, we were amazed at how many tourists don't actually go into any of the Duomo Buildings, the cathedral, baptistry and museum were really comfortable to walk around, aswell as beautiful and informative! The Tower Tour was fantastic, though I'm glad there are resting places on the way up all those 294 steps! The views from the Bell tower were fantastic! The effects of the Lean really messes with your senses when you're walking up and down the steps. Fantastic trip in all.
Finding the representative was easy. Just make sure you get there 15 minutes ahead of time as you have to lock up your bags for security reasons. You can still take your camera. It was nice not having to lug up our bags. The climb wasn't too bad and the views were amazing!!!! So worth doing!!!!!!
We picked our tickets up without a problem. I don't know how much more we paid than buying the tickets on the day but we didn't want to risk not being able to do the climb so we thought we better book ahead. We still had to queue to climb the tower but this was because they only allow a certain number of people up every half an hour so you have to wait in line for about 15 minutes before starting your climb. the climb itself was easy for us but i would recommend people think carefully before doing it, there are about 500 steps, (which lean just like the tower) and the stairway is very narrow!
To be clear, it isn't a tour - it is just the receiving of pre-ordered tickets to climb the tower (which is superb on its own!). Our Contact was there at the agreed time, gave us our tickets and was off in a minute after. It suited us but if you want any tour or commentary, this is not for you. My only negative is that we weren't able to request a particular time, only a day. I added a request to get tickets for after 11am (so we actually get to Pisa) but the tickets were for 4:30 in the afternoon. We managed to spend the time on the amazing Field of Miracles but consequently got to Lucca later than was desired.
