Everyone should visit because what happened here should never be forgotten. Very moving.
loved it picked up promptly at our hotel very informative guides on both tours would definatlely recommend
Tour was very well organised, both Auschwitz and Wieliczka, informative and good tour guides who clearly are passionate about there job. Very happy overall very good value for money. Also no need to line up for tickets, it was straight in missing very large ques.
Well organised. The queue for tickets if you went independently was huge. Good value.
This is a tour to which you must have a guide. We were fortunate to have Jon as our guide who is an historian and very passionate and emotional about this part of Poland s History. Although the general history of Auschwitz is known, the facts from our guide really painted the picture as to what it was like inside the camp and the hardships that its inhabitants had to endure. Auschwitz 1 is large but Auschwitz 2 -Birkenau is on a different scale, and demonstrated the systematic and detailed process planned for years by the Third Reich. This is a short drive away with the same tour guide for both camps. The one thing which stuck in my mind throughout the tour was the number of young people visiting the camps and showing their respect to the victims of the holocaust. A very thought provoking tour and a must to see.
Two excellent tours to two very interesting sites. My only slight criticism is that being in the busy summer season each tour was kept on the move and it is very easy to get separated from your group if you pause too long to take photos. Also very little time to stop for something to eat so make sure you bring something with you as we only got a 5 minute or so break between end of Auschwitz tour and getting on bus to see Birkenau.
The Auschwitz-Birkenau tour was a humbling experience. The tour guide was passionate about his subject and this was imparted to everyone in the group. The arrangements were faultless.
The Wieliczka Salt Mine was so much more that I had expected. A mix of social history and art in a most unusual setting.
