This was a fun tour and our guide, Gunnar, was very knowledgeable about the city of Portland. Actually, I was the only person in the first half of the tour which took us through some of the quirky neighborhoods around Portland. We visited the Rose Garden and the Pittock Mansion which is perched on the bluffs of West Hills overlooking Portland. The weather was perfect that day and there were clear views of Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helens. After taking a lunch break, the second half of the tour picks up a group of two as we head out towards the Columbia Gorge. We make a stop at a sturgeon fish hatchery before visiting some of the many waterfalls the Gorge has to offer including the famous Multnomah Falls. Gunnar made sure we were able to spend quality time up close to some of the larger waterfalls. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Portland.

Over the years my family and I have taken many guided tours of American cities. Often we use the Grayline company. I was very apprehensive about selecting another company but my concerns were unfounded. Our tour of Portland and the Columbia Gorge was outstanding! With no doubt our tour guide was the best we have ever experienced. She was helpful, courteous and extremely knowledgeable. She also had a passion for history which I really appreciated.

This was a fantastic tour! He showed us the best the city, the gorge, and the waterfalls had to offer. He was very knowledgeable and also knew the story and history behind everything he showed us. We were the only 2 people on the tour, so we were allowed to take our time at each site and go at our own pace. This tour was the highlight of our trip.

One of the best! Outstanding tour. You get to see a lot and definitely ask for a stop at the Voodoo Donut shop.

I ened-up being the only person in the tour, since others had cancelled ! I was highly grateful and impressed that the tour had not been cancelled. I enjoyed the tour and felt like I had my own private tour guide, which is essentailly what I ended-up having. The tour guide -Gunner was a thoughtful and patient gentleman, who was kind enough to take some photos of me . I didn;t feel "short changed" nor rushed. On the contrary, the complete tour was still provided with excellent customer service with professionalism and respect. I was picked-up and dropped off at the hotel . The tour guide was forthcomung, knowlegeable, good sense of humor and approachable. I'm very thankful that his boss-David did not cancel the tour and I personally called him the following day to thank him. Needless, to say, I reccommend this company and the tour. I wish that I had also taken the Downtown Portland Tour, but regretfully, I didn' !
