This was a great tour! The tour guide was a young man in his mid-20's, unfortunately I forgot his name : We were picked up on time from our hotel and the car ride was very smooth and comfortable. We were a small group of just six plus the tour guide, which I really liked. The guide was very knowledgeable about the history of both Guimarães and Braga. He did his best to answer all our questions, made sure no to lose anybody and did his best to satisfy our requests/needs. The lunch was extremely delicious! We had the traditional baked pork, grilled salmon was the other choice. We also were given enough free time where we were able to walk around a bit on our own, take pictures and buy souvenirs. Finally, we were all dropped off in front of our hotels.
The tour guide went above and beyond, giving us directions on the fastest/easiest way to get to a beach in Porto after he dropped us off at our hotel. I highly recommend this tour!
This is a great tour but to my family, we really enjoy Luis as the guide. Luis handled the day tour with lots of energy. We had a very diverse group and the tour had to be in 3 languages -Portuguese, Spanish and English. Luis was amazing and was tireless to make sure we all have the same information. He is a great tour guide and my family had an awesome time! Thank you Luis!
This is the best tour I have booked through Viator. The places we visited were wonderful. Our guide, Elsa, was very informative and gave us enough alone time to explore both cities a little on our own. There were only six of us on the tour and we travelled in a very comfortable van. The place chosen for our lunch was excellent and we had time to talk and visit with the two other couples on our tour. It was just a very good experience all around.
We had a great day out visiting Braga's religious sites and learning about the history of Portugal and Guimarães. Our tour guide Sofia was knowledgeable and went out of her way to make everyone on our small group tour feel welcome and comfortable. We stopped for lunch at a lovely restaurant and filled up on fish, turkey and salad. It was a hot day but Sofia made sure we kept cool. Thanks again Sofia for a wonderful day out!
What a wonderful day! I have taken many day trips in various countries and this was one of the best. Great sites and tour organisation too. The guide Paula was simply fantastic the tour company is lucky to have such a passionate and enthusiastic member of their team.
This was a very enjoyable tour under the perfect blue sky of your picture! We were only 4 on this tour, in a minivan. The guide was very knowledgeable and had a warm personality. Historic buildings were sumptuous. A copious lunch in a local restaurant was included. Absolutely worth embarking on!
Very nice tour covered all the best of the intinary, professional and friendly guide Elsa provide a cosy accompany with us. And there's only 6 members in the tour, very private and leisure. WE highly recommend this tour.
Extraordinary!. The guide was wonderful, courteous, and with tons of knowledge. We got to see a lot in one day and for a fair price. I recommend this tour.
Perfect welcome by Claudia. Small group, very intersting trip - a professional guide and well choosen places.
We had a wonderful trip from Porto to Braga and Guimaraes. Our guide, Elsa, could not have been better and we loved both towns. An excellent day - thank you Elsa!
Schade.
Our tour guide Joana was wonderful! It was an interesting day, beautiful sights. The meal was great. The only thing I would change is more free time in Guimaraes.
It was wonderful. Sofia is a delightful guide - knowledgable, enthusiastic, and entertaining. We saw so much and learned a lot. The itinerary was wonderful. Thanks!
Love the tour and Paula our tour guide was fantastic. I enjoy that tour very much.
Excellent tour we visited beautiful charming places. The tour guide was very patient did a good job. He had comments and interesting information to share with us.
Food and wine very good, but the best are the pastries.
Great tour! A very intelligent solution for seeing the most important nearby sites in 1 day as well as customized for a small group of people (7-8) in a mini-van. No stress, no rush, relaxed and friendly atmosphere. I had a pleasure to have the same guide, Paula Marinho, who led also the previous day tour to Fatima and Coimbra. She was just excellent: very professional, friendly, multi-lingual (she led the tour in 2 languages: English and Portuguese, driving the van at the same time and guiding us through the sites). Both Braga 6 Guimaraes are beautiful cities reach of history and amazing sites. And, of course the local cuisine was also very delicioesWill definitely recommend the tours and the companies to friends.
The sights were fabulous and the guide was simly amazing. I enjoyed every minute of it. They provided a delicious original portuguese lunch as well.
The best tour so far. We had a small group and the guide Sophia was absolutely top notch. She explained the history and culture very well. We hoped to have her on other tours. Guimaraes is enchanting and a location we will return to in the future.
Our tour guide, Claudia, was especially knowledgeable and very delighted to share her love for these sites. We were equally delighted to learn from Claudia and two new tour guides who accompanied us. Their enthusiasm and combined experiences made this trip one of the best tours we have ever taken. Braga is beautiful; Guimaraes is gorgeous. These are MUST SEE cities for every serious Portugal travleler.
