Great tour! A very intelligent solution for seeing the most important nearby sites in 1 day as well as customized for a small group of people (7-8) in a mini-van. No stress, no rush, relaxed and friendly atmosphere. I had a pleasure to have the same guide, Paula Marinho, who led also the previous day tour to Fatima and Coimbra. She was just excellent: very professional, friendly, multi-lingual (she led the tour in 2 languages: English and Portuguese, driving the van at the same time and guiding us through the sites). Both Braga 6 Guimaraes are beautiful cities reach of history and amazing sites. And, of course the local cuisine was also very delicioesWill definitely recommend the tours and the companies to friends.
The sights were fabulous and the guide was simly amazing. I enjoyed every minute of it. They provided a delicious original portuguese lunch as well.
The best tour so far. We had a small group and the guide Sophia was absolutely top notch. She explained the history and culture very well. We hoped to have her on other tours. Guimaraes is enchanting and a location we will return to in the future.
Our tour guide, Claudia, was especially knowledgeable and very delighted to share her love for these sites. We were equally delighted to learn from Claudia and two new tour guides who accompanied us. Their enthusiasm and combined experiences made this trip one of the best tours we have ever taken. Braga is beautiful; Guimaraes is gorgeous. These are MUST SEE cities for every serious Portugal travleler.
The trip was beautiful and fun. Our guide was fantastic and kept us entertained and informed all day long.
Day was wonderful, guide (Paula) superb and we are so glad we took the time out to see a little more of Northern Portugal
Really interesting to see the birthplace of Portugal and hear more about its long history. The guide was an excellent leader and made the whole day an absolute delight.
Our guide Sebastian was excellent. Loved this tour!!!! Bom Jesus was just beautiful.
We were fortunate enough to be the only ones on this full day tour . Our tour guide was very informative and very passionate about Portugal. Would certainly recommend this tour.
I truly enjoyed the tour. The guide was very friendly and demonstrated considerable history knowledge of the sights in these beautiful cities. It was a great tour which I did not feel that we rushed at all and had time to explore on my own, but enjoyed the day learning about the interesting history and life in Northern Portugal.
I could not fault this trip It was one of the best I have experienced for a long time
My only criticism was I wish we could have had a little longer at the Sanctuario de bom Jesus. Even so I got there which was my plan!
This was a nice day trip from Porto to see some interesting areas close by. Our guide, Claudia, was amazing and I am sure she is not paid as much as she should be. Her facility with languages was amazing and the way she included everyone in her explanations, even alternating the order she gave them in, was appreciated. Lunch was the best tour lunch we had and I think Living Tours is a well run group. These two sites have much historical significance and interest and are well worth visiting.
My husband and I truly enjoyed our tour. Maria, our pleasant guide, demonstrated considerable knowledge about the history of these wonderful cities. The van was comfortable and the people in our group got along very well, making this experience even more delightful.
My husband and I had a great time on the tour. We didn't feel rushed at all, but at the same time there was enough activities to keep us busy and interested. Our tour guide, Maria was very informative. Tour was as described.
