Virginia was great. She answered all our questions about Porto, Portugal, the food, and anything related. I highly recommend this tour. It was enriching.
First off, Virginia was our guide and she was very informative and just adorable! She really loves Porto and is enthusiastic. The places we went to were fun and the food was very good and the port and local drinks were excellent as well. We were in a small group and were together for 4 plus hours. Virginia knew the area from a historical sense as well as telling us personal stories and connecting them to the tour. We did do a lot of walking, so be prepared. I would highly recommend this tour early in your stay here, it will give you a good idea of what to do and not to do in the following days.
Excellent well thought out tour. Virginia was a fantastic guide who was easy to communicate with as well as being really knowledgeable about the area. The food was top quality and excellent Port and Wine tasting along the way to finish with a picturesque view of Porto. Easily the best way to see Porto!
One of the best experiences we ever had.Nice little places with good food, impossible to find if you didn't have a guide.Virginia, our tour guide, was amazing. She was punctual, speaks very well english and she has a great personality. We loved every minute of those almost six hours.Great tour, great guide and a beautiful city that you shouldn't miss,if you travelled to Portugal
Highly recommend this tour. This was my first Gastronomy tour of a city and not only was the food and drinks great (lots of it!!) but my guide Virginia was able to a local insight into the Porto way of life and lots of extra things to do during my stay.
Best way to see Porto and great value for
Our tour guide "Sid" was an absolute legend! He was more than capable of answering any questions we had and was clearly very knowledgeable about the history of the city. He read our group well and could tell that we weren't very interested in lots of historical facts so therefore tailored the tour to suit us.
The tour went on for much longer than 4 hours. At the end of the tour Sid kindly marked out the locations of popular bars and restaurants on our maps and provided us with public transport information for getting to the best beaches.
We had spent 2 days by ourselves sightseeing in Porto before we did the tour... we thought we'd seen it all but we were very wrong. He brought us down lots of side streets and alley ways off the beaten track that we would of never seen ourselves. This is a great way to see the city and I highly recommend it.
It was a nice food tour. Very personable and friendly tour guide. At times, it felt a little unorganized but We were the only couple on the tour, so who knows if it is always like that. I would recommend this food tour to anyone going to Porto.
Virginia, our guide was amazing. She took us to some lovely cafe's where we tried some wonderful local dishes and drinks. Things we would never had tasted or places we would never have found for ourselves.
She was also extremely generous with her time and stayed with us far longer than we would have expected.
We both felt the tour made our visit to Oporto - a very beautiful city. We will certainly recommend the city and especially the tour to all of our friends.
Thank you so much Virginia

Virginia our guide was great. It's the best way to see and experience Porto. Due to a conflict with guide availability we had to modify our time. The manager of the tour company was very flexible, and we wound up getting a private tour by default. You taste a wide array of food and drinks. She took us to places we never would have found and really enjoyed. I couldn't imagine any other way to experience this city.
Our time spent in Porto was unbelievable!!! Our guide Virginia did and excellent job taking us on a walking tour and explaining all of the sights to us. She didn't stop there, we sampled local wines, coffee and desserts from this region along with in-depth explanations of their culture, history and traditions. Porto is a lovely city and the people are very friendly and welcoming. Thank you Virginia for a great time!
Wound up being the only couple on tour. Ricardo our guide revamped a lot of his itinerary to include more of his own choices, adding additional places to sample wine and food.
Despite landing in Porto on a holiday, and many places closed, my guide Emma brought me to many interesting restaurants, I had my very first tasting of bacalao, ate Portuguese egg tart, and drank ginginha in a chocolate cup, and brought to every historic place in Porto. Emma knew her facts well, and gave me a history lesson of Porto. I didn't feel bored, and I would recommend this tour to anyone who goes to Porto.
Virginia, our guide, gets 10 stars! Friendly, forthcoming, interested in us and our experiences, just delightful. My only criticism of the tour is that the description specifies exact locations and we did not visit all of those. Instead we had some substitutions, which were very good with the exception of the Francesinha experience at the end. Luckily my husband and I had found the Regaleira the day before, so we knew this was "the place" for this Porto specialty. The last stop of the evening in Nova de Gaia resulted in a microwaved substitute that was not worth the effort or time. Otherwise we highly recommend the tour, especially to do it as early in your visit as possible because you see so much of the city via the walking tour!
