The Porto Hop-on-Hop off tour with river cruise and wine tasting at Calem was an excellent way, over two days to get to know Porto and visit some of the attractions. Highly recommended
Highly recommended. Was a great way to maximize our time to see and experience the beautiful sights. Will definitely use this company again in furture.
Everything was great. Only issue we had was where to purchase a tickets but we managed to found out.
The tour was great it is a great way to find your own way around porto is a great place cannot wait to go back lots to see
Highly recommend this bus and make sure you get off in the restaurants by the beach and have grilled fish you will no regret it.
This bus tour was the perfect way to visit the city in two days! Here is what we did:
The first day, we took the purple bus route from Praça da Batalha which is at the top of Rua de Santa Catarina, the main shopping street to Castelo do Quejo/SEA Life Porto 22 stop. It's a great bus route: it first goes through the city and its landmarks and then along the ocean shore from which you can see boats, fisheries, Matosinhos beach, etc.. We visited Castelo do Quejo for 2 Euros and afterwards, we walked south along the seashore. We stopped at a small restaurant by the ocean. The view was amazing. Then, we caught the orange line from stop 16 Pérgula da Foz which is right before the Fort. We rode up to the Ribeira, the main tourist area. From there, we did the river cruise along the Douro River which was included in the package. You can take many photos of the bridges from the boat. We then had dinner at a restaurant at the Ribeira.
The second day, we walked down to the Calém Port Wine Cellar and visited the cellar for free it is part of the package. There, we got to taste some white and some red port! We then took the orange bus route from 23 Gaia Quay and visited the other side of the city. This part is more residential, but there are a few museums to visit along to way if you are inclined to. We took the bus all the way to Praça da Batalha stop 4, and spent the rest of the afternoon visiting shops and small restaurants.
The Porto Hop-on-Hop off tour with river cruise and wine tasting was one thing we needed to do to see all of Porto. The hop-on-hop of bus was a great way to see all the sights and even some of the coastal towns. The highlight was the wine tasting at Calem, one of the oldest Port wineries in the region. We had a full guided tour of the facility which was followed by a river cruise at sunset. All in all a perfect day!
The Porto Hop on Hop Off bus tour was an excellent way to explore and get to know Porto. The open aired top half of the bus allows for an excellent and fun vantage point of the city. Seeing everything from the old city to taking in the sights and smells of the beautiful beaches along Porto's northern crest, made for an extremely enjoyable and relaxing event. Would highly recommend!
We fell in love with Porto and its people! We had a great time and really enjoyed our trip!
We always do HOHO tours - although not all of them are via Viator. This was a great value as it turns out booking online for 13 euro was a 2-day ticket. We did not do the river cruise. Overall we loved Porto and hope to return.

The tour was awesome! What a great surprise was Porto for all of us ! From the old town, to the high end beach villas , then to the magnificent Duoro River Riviera and Gaia ! Loved Porto !!!
River Cruise and Wine Tasting were great tour highlights !!!
I think the yellow bus is the best of the 3 available because you can use all local busses as well, which was very handy, the boat cruise was really nice, so I recommend this option, much cheaper buying through Viator.
Our tour guide was great. She knew a lot of the history and was able to answer all of puir questions. I would do this trip again.
Used the bus to get to Matosinhos Beach where the food was amazing!! Only problem was the Optional River Cruise was hard to find, but well worth the ride!!
The sights were astonishing although because of the traffic jams the buses were not so frequent. The guiding commentary on the bus was really interesting.
bus tour excellent, saw all the major sites and returned to visit the ones that appealed. river trip lovely and again well worth while. loved that you could disembark on the other side of the river so straight in to the wine cave for that tour. Very interesting and the tasting gave you a good idea of the product and was not skimped.
