One of the best hop-on hop-off tours. Easy to plan on switching from one route to the other. Very enjoyable!
Great value for money. It covered a huge distance, and we used the hop off part to go to places seen on the tour. Having a second day made much more possible. It was good to be able to use public bus service too.
This was a fabulous tour of Porto and with the boat trip on the Douro and visit to the port lodge with wine tasting included, we loved every minute. Highly recommend this tour.
An excellent trip, plenty to see. Unfortunately we were unable to take the optional river cruise because of ill health.
An excellent way to see the highlights of this incredible city. I highly recommend it for both travellers spending only a few hours there or for those spending a few days there. A truly enjoyable boat trip as well. I loved strolling through the old city centre all across the bridges, a unique point of view to enjoy both the modern and the old Porto. Walking through some of the finest varieties of Porto was magic and a unique experience. The guide was passionate and gave us an interesting insightful tour, it was fascinating to hear all about Porto! I’d strongly recommend this trip to anyone.
Great way to see this charming city, being able to stop on the main spots, and even at the beach. The visit to the caves was very interesting and informative, great to know more about the varieties of wines produced in Porto, with a tasting of 2 types of wines. The boat trip can't be missed, it's the best way to see Porto's 7 bridges. Definitely recommend it!
Tour over 2 days was great value and covered a huge amount of sights and places to visit. Particularly enjoyed crossing the river and the Port Caves tour with tastings which was included. Also, the chance to walk out to the lighthouse on the Atlantic where the river meets the ocean. Fish markets interesting! Loved the Fado soundtrack in between well-spoken tour commentary.
What great way to see both sides of the city, thoroughly recommended, so much to see, and the port caves and cellars were fabulous as was the river cruise for photo's . Fortuantely it was a bright and sunny day and this made it ven more special. Got off the bus at Matsoshinos market and aslo at thepehistoric exbibition at stop 21. The fenicular is only 3 euros and worth doing . Didn't do the cble car as had done many others . all in all good value to see the sights.
A great way to see the highlights of Porto - this beautiful city! Very informative and well worth it!
Excellent way to see the sights. We took both bus tours and although they did overlap sometimes we never got bored. Porto is a great place to visit for a weekend and the bus tour made it easy to pick the sights to revisit by foot.
These HOHO tours are a great way to see any city. Only problem with this particular one is that the buses aren't frequent so we spent a lot of time waiting around (in the sun, so it wasn't that bad). Annoyingly watched several red buses (competitor HOHO tour) bus go by each time we waited, but the yellow bus does go out to the beach, unlike the red one, which was great. Oh, and careful sitting on top deck, some of the cushioned seats leak and several of us got up with wet behinds a couple times! The River cruise was fabulous - but we werent offered wine so not sure what the "wine tasting" was supposed to have been.
Excellent tour of Porto - we did both routes available on this tour, the Wine tasting was very good, unfortunately the boat trip didn't run and we had to wait for another one but it was ok when it arrived!
Due to a variety of travel-related scheduling problems, I had to skip the tour entirely, through no fault of Viatour, and ended up taking a comparable tour with a competitor several days later.
There are 2 other bus tours in Porto that seem to be better organized, more on time and probably have seats that aren't torn and headsets ports that actually work. This was the only Viator tour where the voucher was not enough. The driver told us we had to go to the main ticket office to exchange the voucher for the tickets. I was angry after waiting over half an hour and insisted on him driving us to the ticket office as it was a bit of a walk up hill. The river cruise was good. Do the red or blue bus tour!
