We only had a few days in Lisbon and felt that a short walking tour would help us to get familiar with the city. Paolo was a great guide and was very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, the weather was uncooperative but it did not stop us from us seeing the sights and learning about Lisbon in a casual manner. I highly recommend this short tour if you only have a few days ! Thanks Paolo !!
Excellent way to learn about all the different areas of the city. A very good introduction. Joanna was an excellent guide with an excellent command of English.
Extremely informative and very well designed tour. Although 3.5 hours in length there was not too much walking. It was a interesting blend of traditional and contemporary with political and social history. Excellent guide.
We thought our guide was knowledgeable, helpful and interesting. She gave us a great overview of the city and we loved the pastry that was included.
What a great way to see the sites of Central Lisbon!! Margarida was our tour guide and she was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We had been in Lisbon for two days before taking this tour so we had somewhat acclimated to the central part of Lisbon before taking this walking tour. We walked through neighborhoods with their narrow lanes/streets, specialty stores and unique architecture and history. Neighborhoods that you would not see with a tour bus or even a minivan. This was a great way to see a very broad area of Central Lisbon in a short amount of time. We would highly recommend this tour to any visitor to Lisbon.
This was the perfect tour for us as we only had a few days in Portugal. Hugo (I have his card but misplced it) was very informative and was very knowledgeable. Hugo gave us a lot of history and he was very funny. Our tour was close to 4 hours. We were glad we wore our tennis shoes! There was so much to see and so much history and Hugo managed to hold our interest through it all. The walking tour was far more than we expected. We were warned of pick pockets, received tips on where to buy trolley/train tickets and where the authentic restaurants are, he also showed us where the post office was... Hugo took good care of us!
We really enjoyed our walking tour of Lisbon. Joanna was great. It was so interesting to learn a lot about the history and sites of Lisbon. We just wish we had done the tour our first day in Lisbon.
We really enjoyed our tour. The young gal was very knowledgeable. She was sensitive to our responses. I found the history of Lisbon most interesting. I would highly recommend this tour. My only regret was that we had an hour walk to reach the area from which she gave the tour since we arrived by boat. Having a form of transportation would have made getting to the meeting place easier. Thank you
This was the best experience ever! Me and my husband were lost and could not find meeting point, so I called the office. The person on the phone was very supportive and after 15 min we found our meeting point and meet our group with guide Marta. This tour was full of fun and very informative. We had a chance to try a traditional Portuguese cake and liquor! Definitely will do this walking tour with our daughter next summer.
Wonderful. Our guide was so lovely and knew all the top spots for photos without being caught in the tourist money traps, eg elevated viewing platform. She was extremely considerate of the individual walking needs of our group and paced her tour accordingly. Her anecdotes personalised Madrid for us. Two highlights were the "sloe gin" Lisbon style tasting and the Belem yellow tram ride.
Not the main historic sites (easy to find yourself) but a look at a large part of the old city and how it has changed and is changing. Very interesting, visited several viewpoints- including the less well known, the Castle , flea market and Alfama district. 4 hours in total - with coffee and cake breaks. Great value insight
We were able to experience all of Lisbon most important places by foot.
