Our guide Tiago was very friendly and knowledgeable. The trip is charming and comfortable. There is some confusion about the walk uphill from the van parking to Pena National Palace: yes, you may walk together with guide but there is a shuttle bus available every 15 min for the addition fee EUR 3 per roundtrip.
The Roca Cape most western point in the Europe stop is very nice but don't forget some windbreaker.
The Cascais stop is a kind of useless, especially because it's during the hottest time of the day. Besides small shopping typical souvenirs, cold water, the best idea in my opinion is to spend this time 1 hr in the shadow outdoor cafeteria with the cold drink or/and coffee. The place is very quite and relaxing.
1. the trip start at 9 am at Rock Cafe, which is open at 9 am only! Thus there is no reason to be too early. Vans arrive at 9:05 - 9:15 and guide will call your name.
2. avoid too much wine or beer in Sintra during the dinner because the drive is quite serpentine and you may have some headache, postpone drinking to Cascaise.
Our guide, Pedro, was spectacular. We had a superb experience learning a lot about Portugal's Sintra region and Cascais. Not only did Pedro accompany us through the sites, but he gave us plenty of time to go through on our own afterwards. He gave us plenty of time for lunch in Sintra and time to wander through the various shops. BRAVO!
It was excellent from an on time departure to comfortable vehicles to great coverage of the area. Our guide,Joanna, was wonderful--very informed ,animated and interesting. She is also a terrific driver
This tour was great, the tour guide was very informative and always at hand if I had any questions about the beautiful parts of Portugal we were visiting, a very gwd way of seeing different parts of the country.
Thank you Katerina for a nice and informative tour. We will be back.
Pedro was an excellent guide! He was very safety conscious and made sure he accounted for all in the van before we departed from each stop. The weather was not great which somewhat affected our experience but this cannot obviously be controlled. Cascais was great but Sintra was a bit disappointing as the town itself was very touristy and coming from Western Canada, the town of Sintra reminded me of Banff, Alberta with the higher than normal prices and somewhat cheap souvenirs but our guide was super!
Fantastic tour with tons of things to do and see. Our tour guide Nadia was very informative.
Highly recommend this tour.
Great experience altogether. Our tour guide Caterina was an upbeat, and amazing driver and kept the experience interesting at all times.
Lena the guide was great. We were on time and she explained things well. She has a lot of love and pride in her country and it shows. This trip was well worth the money.
Informative guide, great scenery and food and of course wine. Recommend.
This tour is a must! Both Sintra and Cascais were unique, and worth a visit. The tour guide was great sadly, I cannot remember her name!.
Super fun day. The small group size was great and the places we visited were gorgeous.
It was one of the best tours I've been on!
It was a small group of six people which was ideal and everyone was looked after. Our tour guide Andreia was very friendly and knowledgeable. She'd answer all our questions and would go out of her way to make sure everyone is happy and enjoying the tour.
It was a whole day trip (9am to 5pm), and it was full of positive emotions, useful information, interesting facts and exciting discoveries.
I would like to say big thank you to the Inside Lisbon trips and personally to Andreia for the great day!!
Great trip to the lovely towns of Sintra and Cascais. Our tour guide Nadia was very knowledgeable and helpful. Easy to book. Small group. Would highly recommend this tour to Lisbon visitors.
The trip was excellent! The locations were very interesting and the guides knowledgeable and helpful. Recommended.
Great tour guide, very knowledgeable and accomodating. And a superb tour of Sintra and Cascais, especially the tour of Penn Palace... unlike no other palace weve seen before. A fine day outing!
Highly recommended. Our guide, Nadia, was accommodating, friendly, and knowledgeable - she took us to a non-touristy restaurant in Sintra and even dropped us off at the Lisbon Oceanarium after the tour. If you are visiting Portugal, Sintra is a must.
Such a great day! Nadia was a wonderful guide/driver -- so sweet, patient, friendly, and smart. All the sights were covered well, without a rush at any. We had a small group (eight tourists plus Nadia), which was just right for things to flow along smoothly. I was tickled by getting out and walking around at Capo de Roca -- I think I wasn't expecting it. Everybody should go on this day trip when visiting Lisboa.
