This gets 5 stars for our beer guide. The set up through Grey LIne was sketchy, and they directed us to the wrong place, but luckily we found a girl who had worked for the tour and she gave us the correct address. We were late, but we made it. Note to Viator, please do not use Grey Line. They were not at their kiosk during business hours and they do not have up to date information on this tour. Very upset with them, but cannot fault our guide and the experience. This does not help the reputation of Viator when using companies that are not competent.
Our guide was a funny Irishman. He knew his Czech beers really well and drank with us albeit, not everything we did. We came out of this tour with a little buzz and so full from all the beers we tasted. I think we tasted about 5 or 6 10-ounce pours about 24 cl per pour. Thank you for this great knowledge, Mr. Irishman! Sláinte!
This was really tremendous and a great way to meet up with other like-minded folk. Our guide, Angela was informative and interesting. We learnt about 7 beers, all of which we enjoyed. Would do it again!
Our guide was Tom and we had only a group of six. We learned lots about Czech beer and the areas it came from. Aldo, there was a lot of beer to taste. Seven different kinds.
Trouble finding where the tour started but once there it was very informative. It was a good time.
Learned a lot about the wonderful Czech beers, and enjoyed every one of them
This was a great experience! Our group was only 4 people, and our guide, Gary, was great. We learned a ton about beer and tasted 6 or 7 Czech beers. I put tasted in quotation marks because you get almost a full glass for each tasting don't do this on an empty stomach. I would highly recommend for anyone interested in learning about beer or anyone who wants to get a primer on Czech beer.
Excellent excursion . It was fun guide very knowledgable ! Just be aware you have to get your tickets quite away from the venue we found it hard to find , so give yourselves plenty of time !
Amazing tour guide! Had a blast at the bar! It was my husband and I! Met some fun people and I def recommend this tour!
Very informative and excellent value! Beware, you can consume around 2litres of beer at this 'tasting'. Some of the best beer I have ever tasted. Lovely rich flavours. A beer tasting a wine buff can appreciate.
Our guide was funny and knowledgeable. We tasted seven beers. Very tasty!
My wife and I had a great time on this beer tasting. We booked it for a Sunday afternoon, so only 3 people showed up (including m,y wife and I). The leader of the tasting tailored the experience for us and it was very personal, educational, and a lot of fun! We tried 7 traditional Czech beers and learned about how each was made and how their production affected history. I highly recommend this to everyone, not only beer enthusiasts!
It was a great, interesting tour with a knowledgeable guide who was succinct in his explanation of the beer process. Tasted 7 beers, each different in taste, smell and color. The tasting was in one location and this was a +. Would do again and definitely recommend.
Had a wonderful time. Met lots of great people, even some from our home town in the U.S. And the beers were really good.
One of the best things we did in Prague. We really learned a lot about the history of brewing and the methods used in perfecting each brew. We met a ton of fun people, and the guide was a sommelier from the U.S. He was knowledgeable, witty, and fun. We loved this tour!
We thoroughly enjoyed the beer tasting in Prague! We met some lovely people! Nina was welcoming and worked hard throughout ! Paul is a great teacher- both fun and informative! right now we are drinking pivo in Zagreb and wondering if it is a lager or an ale! Thanks guys for a great time!
Great selection of beers and the tour guide was very knowledgeable!
the host was great. easy to find and discovered great beer. even met some people who were traveling to the same city as us next. it was a great time!
It was like taking a class in beer. I can now speak intelligently about lagers, top vs bottom fermentation and some history of the Czech beer industry. Paul was an excellent teacher. Despite the name of the bar, we didn't go on a pub crawl, but stayed in one location, trying different beers.
Fun experience and beer master Paul was great with all his knowledge and stories.
