Wonderful experience. I would book a Viator tour again. Our guide was very personable and interesting, and even gave me directions to go to 2 shops in Prague when we got back so I could buy Czech ribbon and lace. We were all happily surprised with the gift at the end of the tour. I would have liked one more hour in Pilsen to see the town.

This was a fantastic combination tour and perfectly timed for both locations! The glass factory tour really gave us an appreciation for this special craft. We were especially happy that the gift shop had multiple items that we did not see in every gift shop. In fact, the crystal + garnet design we bought was not in any stores so we really got our 'unique' gift representing the Czech Republic. The brewery tour was well done and ended up with a great taste of the special brew. Having lunch included made it so much easier for the day. We didn't have to spend our time trying to find some place to eat. If you go to Prague, be sure to take this tour.

Excellent trip -- good guide, would have been better if the new brewery was running

We had a very good guide for the day. We had a small group, only 7 of us plus the driver/guide. Very informative, good beer and good lunch.

This really is an excellent tour. The glass factory was excellent; you were so close to the workers that you could see and feel what was happening. The brewery tour was a little long, but it was very interesting and the lunch in the restaurant was very good. We had an excellent guide who kept us entertained with his stories for most of the day. I would recommend this tour to anyone, it's definitely worth the money, even though it was a little cold in the brewery cellars, so do wrap up warm.

This excursion was definitely worth the price. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and engaged in conversation about all kinds of topics. The glass works tour was fascinating and we were shocked at how close we were able to get to the workers. The tour guide at the glass works was less enthusiastic and didn't seem to want to talk to us after the tour, but he did recite his script well during the tour.

The brewery visit was fun and informative with a good mix of film and live narration. The guide, was able to answer every question and did a great job. The beer is the best I've had! I highly recommend this trip to visitors of the Czech Republic and maybe even locals!

Once we were on our way, everything was very easy. The only hitch was when I called the day before, whoever I talked to said he couldn't find my name even though I had made the reservation weeks before. Everything turned out fine the day of the trip.

The glass factory and brewery were great! You get to see the processes of both places from beginning to end. The restaurant Na Splice is good too, definitely get your fill of Pilsner Urquell from there before you leave. Guide was great, even gave us a little tour of Plzen's Old Town - city center!

This is a must-do activity! What a wonderful experience. Our driver picked us up at the meeting location and took us to a little town outside of Prague to visit a nationally recognized glass blowing factory. After a tour of the factory we were able to purchase beautiful hand crafted glass at extremely affordable prices - significantly cheaper than in Prague and much more unique. Then, we made our way to the Pilsner Urquell Brewery for a tour of the property and of course - a tasting. Yum! Our driver was so kind as to leave us an hour after the tour to have a late lunch in the delicious brewery restaurant where we enjoyed 0.50 pints and great food. We even had enough time to visit the brewery tour shop before getting back in the car for a relaxing drive back to the city. The excursion was well worth the price, not just for the experience but also for the great deals we got on our holiday gifts and souvenirs!

The Good: The tours of the glass factory and the Pilsner Urquell factory were both great. At the glass factory we walked through the glass blowing area and were 10-15 feet from the men blowing the glass. Then we walked through the cutting area where we got an up close look at the workers cutting the glass. Then we were off to Pilsen to have lunch at U SALZMANNŮ, which is the oldest restaurant in Pilsner and is owned by the same group that owns Na Spilce. I think we had a choice of 3 different typical Czech dishes and one beer. The food was decent but I could have had a larger serving. Off to the Pilsner factory. This was a good tour and gave us the history of the factory, how the beer was originally made and stored in wood casks, and how it is now created. The tasting of unfiltered /unpasteurized beer was great! The Bad: It seemed to me that there is no communication between the tour company and either factory. I would expect that the tour company would have a standing reservation at each factory with guides waiting. This was not the case, we waited an hour for each tour. The tour said that lunch would be in the brewery's restaurant Na Spilce but no explanation was given on why we didn't eat there. At the Pilsner factory we had an hour wait for the tour to start. If we had known this and combined with the very long wait for food, we could have spent 30 minutes at St. Bartholomew's Cathedral (which was a 2 minute walk from the restaurant) which is beautiful.

Great guide, small group, just 5 of us, so very personal. Easy to understand his English, so very educational. Maybe too much time spent driving.
